Im just mess'n with ya. WTOD = Warm Tongue Of Death. The Ohio river valley, forking off to the Scioto river valley makes an outstanding channel to funnel up the WTOD from the sw. That being said, I actually agree with you, plain rain is probably pretty remote with this one, (but never say never here)

I am actually far enough away from the scioto river for it sometimes to snow here but not in columbus about 20% of the time, but can't do much about the ohio river valley. lol

Probaly with heavier returns we will get brief sleet/snow rest will be freezing rain because we are on top of the mix / snow line and will remain so.

I'm just off Route 161 and Buenos Aires in Westerville and I've got mostly rain with sleet mixing in from time to time.

Dang, literally within a minute it went to speck flakes all the way up to quarter size! Actually there are several that are coming down all clumped together! Awesome!

Back to small flecks again. If we could have it just pour snow here for hours just once this winter I would be satisfied.

Sleet and freezing rain here-my car has already gotten a nice thin coating of ice on it.

From what I can tell we don't have much freezing rain accumulation here at OSU's campus on Lane & High st. But we do have around .25" or .30" of sleet build up along with a fresh dusting of snow.

Hey jb, what's the warmest winter. Season on record? I'm just wondering the odds of cracking it.

Ain't we a geographical odyssey, always two weeks from all models showing a turn to cold!

No sign of snow at all, while statistically this may not be the worst winter ever, this is by far the worst I can remember in my 28 years. I'm going on a limb and saying right now we wont see a 3"+ snowfall this year, and it's looking like maybe we won't get any at all.

Arctic front moves into Ohio tomorrow. 1-2 inches of snow possible. Snow begins at noon and may mix briefly with rain. Highs in the 20s this weekend.

Pretty strong artic front with some better precipitation than previously expected. ECM is only .22" or so for the Cleveland area. Even less on the NAM.. but a widespread 1-3" with maybe some isolated 4" are likely across the northern 1/2 of the state

Another waste of an advisory. Not even an inch. And the sheriffs dept issues a level 1. What a damn joke. Bring on Spring. Worst winter in my 28yrs by far.

I just realized that pretty much the entire meteorological winter discussion fit into 4 pages. Pathetic.
