Without having any idea that this would occur, I got a heavy shower suddenly at ~1:45AM (6/4) but it ended after no more than 5 minutes. I looked on radar and saw that it came from a rather unusual direction, from offshore moving WNW.

Yup, that's the Low offshore. Its a rarity seeing clouds and rain coming from the east. Its strange seeing clouds move that direction around here. Looks like unsettled weather the next 5 to 7 days. Another smokey morning for me too.

Thanks. That shower here late last night was just a quick, isolated rain. But late this morning it has been much more widespread in SE GA.

Edit: All of that rain along with some light rain the subsequent days added to ~0.75”

Picked up almost 2 inches of rain in my area. We had 2 quick squalls come through early this afternoon, and a torrential downpour an hour ago, and still now raining moderately. Looks like we gonna have a wet June too.

Early on Sunday afternoon (6/8) we got ~0.5” from a thunderstorm that lasted ~30 minutes.

We just had a 15 minute long quick moving thunderstorm this morning (6/10) moving within the bottom of a line moving ENE.

Edit: I roughly estimate 0.5” on 6/10.

Got lucky and had two rogue showers blow up overhead. 0.27” was enough to make the yard happy. 92.1 here today, yesterday was 92.6. Very hot summer pattern but we have been blessed with enough afternoon showers/storms to keep everything from drying out and this was an incredible post storm evening

No rain here yet, missed it by less than a mile. Media reporting RDU had it's hottest day of the year at 93. 91.4 at the house today, but yesterday was hottest for me at 92.7.

MBY hit 93 on Monday and has been close a few times since
