Hey Hampton Roads/Norfolk'/VA Beach people. I'm like only 30% invested in this plan, but if someone did come down there to chase this storm (if it ends up working out) - how long would they be stuck? I used to vacation in Sandbridge and imagine this would be fun there but kind of assume I'd never get out. Would probably be smarter to get a hotel right off the highway and pray. Know you all have had decent storms recently so figured ya'll might have a sense.

Thanks and good luck. :snowing:

Being in Gloucester Point, it has been tiring jumping back and forth between the Southeast and Mid Atlantic forums, lol. One model run, I'm like "This north trend needs to stop! Time to head to the Southeast forum to wishcast this back south." The next run, I'm like "We need this to come north a bit. Time to head back to the Mid Atlantic forum!"

This is reminding me more and more of Dec. 26, 2004. We had a foot of snow at Gloucester Point and there was barely anything at Gloucester Courthouse. At this rate, I'm worried that cutoff could be Hampton or Newport News this time.

Side roads dont get cleared so next to a highway is good.

I think you'd be able to get out of here by Monday.  The side roads will be messy, but at least driveable by then, and they'll have the interstate cleared.

I'm making a decision the other way.  I'm supposed to fly back into Norfolk Sunday night.

It looks like everything  keeps shifting S and E.  Really wanted to see that L tuck into the coast and climb N some.  Small changes can have big downstream effects so could easily shift back N.  will see.

Euro AI is south crushes eastern NC. SEVA does okay considering rates.

Now its time to hope for a  north trend. EURO  AI is  ok now  for  southside but trends  not  good.
