Late next weekend into the beginning of the week, which starts January 26, looks like a terrific pattern for at least an MECS, which could give us at least several inches of snow.

Absolutely! Staying cautiously optimistic, but that would be fantastic if any of those threats came to fruition.

Well one thing is for sure..

Its going to be cold this weekend!

Let’s just hope the cold high doesn’t suppresses the whole system too far to the south…(that seems the way things have trended the past few years)

If this thing starts to bomb out I can see some sleet/ freezing rain mixing in for awhile & a big ice storm the more south you go…

Hopefully this area can avoid the dry area curse and get a nice 4-8 inch storm with some sleet mixing in at times … With the cold air in the forecast, It will definitely stick around a few days whatever we get…Still too early to predict how this will go, but we know how it normally turns out when we are in the bullseye this early…

There is a lot of noise on the other main thread because the Canadian that just came out is showing mainly sleet in our area. I will continue to lean at least 70% towards the European model throughout this week. It just keeps winning. And if it goes the way of the warm nose and getting sleet then that's probably what's going to happen. But I'm certainly not putting any eggs in any basket because of the Canadian model lol.
