Tons of blue sky here now...too bad the sun angle is so low.

I thought the same thing a couple minutes ago. Standing outside with tons of blue and the sun shining right on me you could barely feel it. Sometimes it's easy to forget the sun angle now is about the same as it is in late February!

That is pretty crazy to think about.

I was really hoping this dry slot would have advected in earlier this afternoon, it really could have made a difference...probably as much as 5-7F or so given how warm the low-level airmass is.

At least though the ML lapse rates have steepened somewhat and 500mb temps are cooling which should help to increase instability a tad.

We'll see if that line can strengthen some as it approaches.
