nzucker
Recorded 1.4 inches. Not bad for late March. This March is still going to end up well below average if we don't receive another snowfall. I've only had 3.75" this March, 2.5" from yesterday and 1" from Monday's storm. Not getting an event in the colder first half of the month makes it very difficult.
bluewave
At least we beat one snowfall record from March 1956. A RECORD SNOWFALL OF 0.5 INCH WAS SET AT LAGUARDIA NY TODAY. THISBREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 0.4 SET IN 1956.
Mr Torchey
With the extensive cloud cover and weak CAA, temps holding 4-5F below NAM MOS in NYC/LI/NE NJ. The mid-level clouds are steadily clearing from the north, but given the slow start I can't see temps reaching the forecast high of 45F in Central Park. In fact, I think they'll be lucky to exceed 40. got past 40 with ease I believe.
uncle W
max was 43 in NYC...46 in Newark...61.9" of snow for the season...1.4" needed to surpass 1947-48...
nzucker
High of 43.1F after a low of 28.9F during the snow last night here in Southern Westchester. Currently 30.6/20 and clear, dropping well into the 20s tonight here. Central Park is at 34F right now with a stiff NW wind.
jconsor
No, JFK had 0.9" on Mar 23 and 0.4" on the 24th, for a storm total of 1.3". http://www.srh.noaa.gov/productview.php?pil=CF6JFK&max=61 So the JFK totals of 0.8 and 1.3 are each daily totals then? That's good, because I submitted a 2.3" storm total.
