It's also still kinda worth watching Wednesday a little. GFS keeps showing an area of T-1" or so in the Central/Western part of VA. One of those things that could get a little more juice over the next few days. I'm sure it'll tease us by looking healthy Tuesday evening.

It's not showing it well but some of it is at least FRZA... surface temps are below freezing N/W of the city. Some of the slower GEFS members have an icy/mixy mess too. Just another option on the table.

Models have been showing a shot at this, especially down in my corner of Virginia. I’ve been tracking this slightly, since I’d be pumped to see any snow whatsoever, since I got shut out in November. EPS members (which are admittedly probably fairly useless for that kind of event) give a lot of the area a dusting+ on Wednesday.

Heavy snow DCA at 174... mixy in Cville. Surface temps are good so must be a warm level somewhere.

Snow just moving into DCA at 168. Low is now down in GA. It's at least going to be a solid thump this time.

It's a big hit for south and central VA. .5" in N MD 3-4" in DCA 7-8" in CHO 12" in RIC

12z GFS continues to tease some snow showers on Wednesday, more so for Central VA at this time. Fairly in line with the 06z GEFS.

yeah, not a “slam-dunk”. overzealous early call. Not gonna scoff at it though, especially when all 0z models show a storm. Good stuff.

WxBell, alternating between 850/surface/SLP and Ptype. Might’ve spoken a bit soon (and a bit IMBY), seemingly the best stuff gets shoved out at 204.

It pretty much looks like a slam dunk again. Moderate snow moving into DCA at 198. Heavy stuff south.

It’s a little slower then at 12z but it still looks like a solid hit... snow moving into SW VA at 186
