    Can’t believe it’s raining again and this thing is moving back west. I didn’t get the prolific rainfall you guys got in the city yesterday but I did see it firsthand as I left Manhattan at 11:30 yesterday morning to go home. Took me 3 hours, multiple highways and detours. For the first time In my life I was actually scared that my car would get carried away in floodwaters. .

    Incredible Lighting and Thunder up here. Absolute deluge. Lost power. Thank God for my automatic generator. The amount of rain we have received this season up here will be measured in feet not inches.

    Thank God I don’t live in yours where “we must trust the science” from the same folks who say men can be women and the “science is settled”. There are tens of thousands of scientists who don’t believe in “climate change” but are silenced because they don’t support the narrative- that’s a big red flag for me. My concern is that in the name of the new religion our freedoms are being taken away. That’s what keeps me up at night not “climate change”. .

    We got hit with a microburst yesterday that knocked out power to about 2500 residence yesterday for over 10 hours. She is a politician so she is obviously an expert. I guess there were never Thunderstorms, Blizzards, Heat Waves before the 20th century, I'm so glad she cleared things up for me.

    I received 7” of rain. Just incredible. That’s on top of last weekends incredible rains. .

    Absolute deluge here. Buckets of rain for the past 1.5 hours. Low spots around the yard are lakes now. Big thunder and lightning. .

    Ridiculously heavy rain up here yesterday from 4pm until way after 10pm. I wouldn’t call it isolated as many counties were affected, it just wasn’t down in the city. Raining up here this morning as well. .

    It’s God awful. I can’t even enjoy my patio as caterpillar feces rain down constantly. It literally sounds as it’s raining outside. Once it does rain, the poop expands 4 times the size and creates a brown mess all over the driveway, patio and cars. I power washed 4 times this past week. Everything is stained. Supposedly this is coming to and end as they all turn to Gypsy moths in the next week. This has been going on since May. .

    Soaking rains just ended up here in Dutchess. We needed this. On a side note we are under attack from caterpillars this season. Oak trees and birch trees are literally stripped bare. .

    Models have been consistently wrong so I don't know how you can have any faith for significant rains. At least at one time the models were good when it came to rain now they are just worthless no matter what the season. Yes, I am over generalizing.

    My commute from Manhattan yesterday was pretty surreal. The haze/smoke was very noticeable and there was definitely a burning smell in the air. Most noticeable was northern Westchester into Putnam County.

    I was just remarking to my wife earlier today that it doesn’t look like we’re gonna get any rain for the next few days. I need rain as I seeded my lawn and don’t want to spend hours moving my sprinkler around. AccuWeather had us at 0% for the day and here it is raining out. Just goes to show you they don’t know what the hell is going on .

    Is it going to rain this month? We had rain all winter and now when it’s supposed to - it doesn’t. .
