    Yeah another step back. Been consistent in lowering totals. But again 6-10 is still a nice storm.

    well that was precisely why I cautioned against doing so 5 days out lol - we didnt even have a grasp on synoptic set up. all good - still going to be a nice 6-10 event

    yup; 6-10 seems right for most; still laughing thinking about people two days ago talking about 20/25:1 ratios This is a classic SWFE event where we thump and end as sleet

    Warm nose apparent on the ICON at 06z - ugly depiction and a big step back from OOZ

    Because it’s all snow for CPK LOL - I laughed so hard at the response.

    Yeah, this is a frozen event but sleet could do a huge number on reducing accumulations. Still it’s much better than freezing rain which would be horrific.

    Fold to what? there is no firm consensus. 6-12 for most of the region seems like a good call right now.

    if nothing else GFS and ICON show the very wide envelope of solutions we have. No longer the consensus we had at 00z last night. Fun times tracking ahead!

    I think this would be on the extreme end of guidance but mixing to some degree looks likely along the coast and potentially further inland. Lots of time for further adjustments either way.

    TWC now has NYC on the northern edge of their 12-18 band FWIW.

    an option thats on the table, but I'll take the risk for more QPF; would still be 6-10" before mixing for most of the area.
