  1. Updated snow pile pic, it's not a lot higher (6.5 ft.), but it's becoming more massive. We're getting good at this, 1st time with everything all cleaned up and a kettle fire for a reward, all in the same day!
  2. Just saw a huge flock of Canadian geese heading south, for the second time in 3 days. Guess food is getting scarce up this way. Think my ewe bushes are going to get an early trim by the deer as well, lol.
  3. 3" on the nose here, currently 30F. Nice looking outside! That back edge did a good job of hanging in there for a while last night. Added bonus, it's all fluff!
  4. Just measured an inch, deer are out in the yard, beautiful outside! I'm leaning lower here based on the radar, thinking 2", open to more of course!
  5. It's at least moderate here, but the radar to the west is now looking a little less inspiring than it was.
  6. Just measured 3/4" of new snow, 31F and snowing at a moderate rate plus. Snow on snow on snow baby!
  7. Getting a light dusting here now, current temp. 32F, dp 21. Inside now, gonna figure out some kind of sleep plan. Don't want to miss the snow but 3 or 4 hours of sleep would be good.
  8. Definitely snowing here now, flakes landing on my phone, lol.
  9. Looking at the radar, it looks to be on the door step. Edit - getting a few small flakes now.
  10. Getting some snow flakes here - woohoo! Had to step away from the kettle fire to be sure they weren't ashes, lol. eta - nothing at the moment, gotta wait for that gap on the returns to fill in/move east.
  11. Here it went from 1"-3" to 3"-5". All snow, sounds good.
  12. Maybe, although might be off and on at the beginning? I'll be out there with the snow lamp, lol.
  13. Been noticing how the radar has seemed to show precip farther east than modeled, and it appears they're getting flurries west of D.C., so I'm thinking maybe as early as 8 or 9 pm here, unless the air here is super dry. RH is 52%, so it's not that dry. Looking forward to tonight! Might have to have the traditional pre-snow kettle fire.
  14. I remember getting snow a few days after that and there were still icicles hanging in the trees. Visually it was pretty cool.
  15. Next Tuesday looks interesting, for now at least... Eta - wrong thread but still...
  16. Meanwhile enjoying the snow that we do have, snow pile yesterday, and reverse angle today with some kettle fire action!
  17. Nope. I think Greenskeeper ran out of hot dogs today though.
  18. Wanted to get the driveway cleaned up today due to the freeze tonight. Not sure if this pic does the snow pile justice, but it's 6 ft. high now and very solid!
  19. Just measured 5.1" here. Also, 4" on the driveway which is more than I expected there. A little leftover light snow currently, at 36F. eta - I am very happy as well!
  20. I would agree with 2010, most snow I've seen on the ground around here in my life. Redsky may have a different opinion, I believe folks up north watched the snow hit a wall for at least one of those storms
  21. Cool, lol. It's getting averaged out now with smaller flakes so...but had to be a good inch or more in that last burst.
  22. Lol. I could probably pick up an extra 1/2" if I measure to the top of a flake.
  23. Coming down hard with big flakes for the grand finale!
