Washington Post article excerpt which is a good reminder:
Consider these rules of thumb for snow forecasts: • Predictions 10 or more days into the future are almost always unreliable. • Predictions seven days into the future are generally unreliable. • Predictions five days into the future are sometimes reliable. • Predictions three days or less into the future are generally reliable, but not always.
Little more then 48 hours before this one gets underway. Currently looks a little colder than today's event, but will still be a mixed bag for most.

No, it ain't snow. But this was supposed to be our relax period. We were supposed to $hitt the blinds and rain until 2/20 or so. I'll take a period of ice as a small win.
They were both in 2007...Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. I'm one of those weirdos that enjoys a good sleet storm. That stuff sticks around forever. Put a fine glaze of ZR on top and you won't see grass until Memorial Day.
Either we're about to experience one of the better patterns around here in years OR we're on the verge of one of the biggest head fakes/rug pulls of all time. Place your bets!
