  1. Op at range. But yeah, rain all the way up to the Poconos??
  2. Where are the under-sea volcanoes when we need them??
  3. In case this winter is a ratter, only 275 days until Fall 2024. Although I see other forums have already cancelled next winter due to a raging Niña, so only 640 days until Fall 2025. Patience!
  4. Something has to freeze first before there can be a thaw...just sayin'.
  5. Let me guess, it’s only 10 days away.
  6. Finished with 3.40”. Pavement quickly dried up with the gusty winds and some sun. The ground however should remain a sponge cake for the foreseeable future.
  7. Up to 3.35” now. Was 59F at midnight, currently 49F. Birdbath is overflowing so the critters will be happy. Neighbor’s inflatable penguin is swaying back and forth on the lawn, so winds are starting to pick up.
  8. The first outer bands are here, picked up .10” already. 50F
  9. Good mow yesterday (and I didn’t get stung by any yellow jackets). The last time I mowed was around Halloween. I mainly wanted to mulch the leaves but was surprised how much the grass had grown since late October. It looks like this storm is a Miller A? That has to be a good sign. They’ve been rare in recent years. And even if it was cold, this looks like it’s taking an inland track, so we’d be flipping to rain anyway. 48F
  10. Think I’ll sneak in one more mow out front today — mulch up the remaining leaves and cut the grass low so if we ever do break our 1” snow drought it will look like a BECS out there. Hope I don’t stir up any yellow jackets. 30F
  11. Not that it matters this far out but the 18z GFS takes that low up over Pittsburgh and into western NY. If that happened we might have a good shot at severe.
  12. I think you have us confused with the NYC forum
  13. So PSU got his inch. Does that mean we can have winter now??
  14. 2.9" total qpf over here near NPHS. Just a T of snow.
  15. Just under 3" here. It dumped between 6-7 last night, probably got an inch in that hour alone. Wind was a no show, which is fine, didn't feel like running after trash cans and Christmas decorations. And yes, a coating of snow on grassy surfaces to wrap things up. Biggest question for the entire country east of the Mississippi...did PSU get his inch???
  16. Been getting hammered for the last 1/2 hour or so. Finally letting up a bit, 58F.
  17. About .40” so far, heavy stuff looks to move in around 8pm. 60F
  18. Steady light rain, .10" in the bucket so far. 58F/DP 58F
  19. Ch 10 guy at 11 said snow is not a concern for us. Maybe he meant accumulation wise. He did say the other day he does love snow, so there’s that.
  20. 18z GFS not hating the idea of some frozen mixing in.
  21. We got NAMed again Even if it doesn’t snow, still so much better than last year already. At least there’s junk & stuff to track.
  22. Seriously! If I didn’t have windows and my only access to weather info was this board, you’d think we’ve consistently been in the 60’s and 70’s this month. Some years we can’t buy a flake, but early signs are the atmosphere can produce frozen for us this year.
  23. I don’t think we ever got NAM’ed last year. My bar is set low for this one, just hoping to see flakes flying.
