  1. Congrats... you’ve been grinding. I was working full time for a good chunk of the time I was getting my degree. It’s not easy working and going to school full time. Now I’m at a job that has nothing to do with my degree, and that I probably didn’t even need a degree for lol. Just the way it goes sometimes
  2. Next Friday/Saturday looks mildly interesting for Central and Northern New England. Hope that verifies.... If anywhere is open with decent conditions might head up for a night or two after Thanksgiving
  3. Anyone who was actually expecting snow events to start coming in waves is going to be very disappointed. Even if an amazing pattern did set up right now, it wouldn’t mean snow for 75% of New England for another month
  4. Lol...maybe. I just find it bizarre that when I get home in the afternoon. No ants. Even when I’m up late on the weekend, no ants, just at that time in the morning. And yeah, they are very small, so I’m guessing sugar ants. Fiancés old house had issues with carpenter ants once, and they were pretty big and distinct, so I’m almost posting these aren’t them. Its also been ridiculously wet here over the last month and a half, so I’m guessing that is a factor
  5. Thanks for the suggestions folks. I totally forgot to stop coming home from work today. I’ll stop tomorrow. In the meantime I sprayed some white vinegar and wRm water where I’ve seen them. Supposedly this eliminates their trail, and they can’t stand the smell. Not really important I guess, but does anyone know why I only see them in the morning when I’m leaving for work st about quarter to six?
  6. Great. Looks like they are pretty cheap. I’ll buy a couple and let them do their thing
  7. They are tiny. I’m like 95% sure they aren’t carpenter ants. If I didn’t happen to see them at first, I’d never know they are there. I’ve been looking every day since I first saw them.
  8. Good to know. I’ll pick a few up on my way home from work tomorrow. Looks like the active ingredient is Borax, which apparently is not particularly harmful to humans or pets ( we don’t have pets anyway).
  9. Has anyone here had any ant issues inside their home? Over the last few weeks, when I come downstairs in the morning, I see a few very small ants on the rug near the kitchen threshold. Some days I don’t see any, some days I see maybe half dozen or so. Doesn’t seem to be any particular pattern or reason. They seem isolated to the same area, as I have not seen any outside of the spot I keep seeing them. Im not sure where they are coming from, or why I’m only seeing a few only in the morning, and they don’t seem to be anywhere else in the house after inspection (including cabinets etc). Any ideas on what the problem may be? (How wet it has been)? I’m looking at those Terro baits. Anyone had success with those?
  10. Some tremendous color late this week... pretty bare now though
  11. A weak nino should in theory be pretty good for this area south of Boston. Who knows though. Lot of weird meh vibes going on in here
  12. You take the award in that category for sure. We got 2-3 dozen at our condo. Lots of people with dark doors and not giving out candy. We tried to make up the difference as one of the few giving out candy. A small milestone in life giving out candy at our own place for the first time.
  13. It’s been pretty damn cold for the past 10 days or so. By October standards anyway. Looks like we moderate in a pretty big way moving forward though.
  14. Just was down in norton center/Wheaton college area... it was dark, but I didn’t really see any signs of a tornado a least in that immediate area. No trees or limbs down, power on, etc etc
  15. That plaza is literally a mile from me and I didn’t hear or see a thing. So strange
  16. Heading to cvs in norton to pick up a prescription later on. Will take a drive around the area and see if I can’t snag a few pics if there’s anything to see
  17. Yup... Wheaton college, down to the Roche Bros plaza area is where I’d bet if something happened
  18. Box posted a pic on Twitter, pretty ominous. Looks like it’s slightly NW of Box... like Bob said... probably right in the area if Wheaton college, norton center, etc
  19. Man, would be close if I was at my parents old house over on the norton line.
  20. Just got the alert on my phone. Looks like it’s going north of here. Mansfield area maybe?
  21. Lol well, it’s more necessity. I’m essential personnel for the town I work for when it comes to snow removal and I need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get in during storms. The plan was to swap cars with my dad if I knew I storm was coming, but there is a good chance they will no longer own the SUV after this week. Not ideal, as I’d rathee just keep my car
  22. So I’m looking at a used vehicle, cost of the vehicle is listed at $26,495. in anyone’s experience, what is a realistic expectation on how much I can get them down? And where to start on my end? I told them going to the dealership would be a mere formality and that all negotiations would take place prior via email.
  23. Gfs is interesting for some flakes or light snow to end even here. Longshot, but cool too see
  24. Car was iced over when I left at 530. Whatever was left of the growing season is now for sure over
