    I mean… everyone with eyeballs knew Mac outperformed Cam by a fairly wide margin this summer. I just didn’t think bill had the stones to make the move. Im surprised he did it, but not because of performance reasons.

    So I decided against a full well sanitation for the time being, as the cold water did not have the smell like hot water. My hot water tank must have been FULL of bacteria. It took over a gallon of bleach to register any chlorine smell coming from the faucets. so I have the chlorine sitting in the hot tank right now

    Thanks. I’m just going to run it through the softener as well. It’s 180 feet deep… so I’d assume a couple hundred gallons… I’ll probably on do 1 gallon

    So I’m going to be sanitizing my well tomorrow night. ( aka I’m going to dump a few gallons of bleach down the well and run all my faucets and taps until I smell chlorine). Ive heard varying opinions on running it through the water softener. People say the bleach can ruin the resin, others say it’s pointless to sanitize the well if you aren’t going to do the softener too. i ultimately find it hard to believe some diluted household bleach is going to do a lot of damage to the softener.

    My wife and I are kicking around the idea of getting a plunge pool. We are kind of up against it space wise, so this would be a good alternative. It’s actually a pool and hot tub separated by concrete. I can only imagine what the waiting list is for this, I haven’t called yet to kick the tires, but we’d need to take out some equity in the house to do it. https://www.eastonpool.com/plunge-pools/

    A lot of tree companies, if reputable, will have an arborist on staff, or at least have access to work with one. You may be able to get the town to come out and have someone take a look too if the tree is near town property or at risk of falling on the road or wires or something

    West Nile was just found in Halifax, I’m spraying there tomorrow. The large amounts of rain and standing water definitely elevated the risk of EEE

    What do we think for 2-5am tonight…. Soaker, or do we get some spraying done tonight? ( we can’t spray if it’s raining)
