    This mornings blowout tide. Levels were 3 to 4 feet below normal low tide.

    In Freeport this morning awaiting high tide. Will be minor and very close to moderate. Will post some photos and video later.

    I'm at work on the staten island ferry and the tide is 7.23 at battery park. Forecasted was 5.80

    Will be curious to see if any of these thunderstorms with lightning makes it this way in a few hours. Hrrr says maybe.

    Usually I get closer to the skyline but I rushed out of work without a lot of time so I had to shoot from Staten Island.

    Yeah last year was horrible. I went for a week in May and got nothing. Of course the week before and after that produced. I almost went down today but I'm not comfortable chasing alone in dixie alley. My chaser partners were busy. The Northeast actually did well last season considering where we are. My favorite day was Pennsylvania with 13 tornadoes in one day. TOR warnings were poping up left and right

    We should keep an eye on Sunday. Could be some flash flooding issues in the area, especially across Eastern Long Island. At least it will be in the 40s.

    I think people on here call bust because they really want to get a large scale snowstorm. I understand it's disappointing, I am a big snow lover too. If the forecast and models showed 20 inches and some areas got that, but the south shore only got 15, people wouldn't be calling bust. So I never understand why people do when there's a few inches of difference in these little storms.
