Yep that h7 stuff is producing hefty snow in SWPA/WMD at the moment. H85 should also align over us for a bit. Those two and good snow growth can produce the 2”/hr rates we long for
Yep was looking to avoid the poor snow growth. From the start we had good structures. Our areas could maximize 15-1’s in the good stuff this afternoon as Millville said yesterday.
@CASH_COOP @Bubbler86 radar has me jacked up for this afternoon. Some really nice stuff blowing up to the SW and frontogenesis is getting going in earnest. It’s going to be fun it looks like.
Already see where the h7 is going to overlap. Where it sits out on the W/NW edge in Garret co and SW PA right now is producing some heavy snow already. Those spots have some 1-2”/hr rates going judging by cams and obs.
We drove over to check out the crowds before coming back to the house. Wife’s birthday is a snowy one. Then of course on our way back up the hood the roads started caving as we went up.
The question will be is that an extra .1 since we started several hours earlier than the CAM’s or will it be part of the total. GFS looked decently juicy.
Keep the precip as far west and NW along the edge is possible. Wouldn’t mind some enhancement from the low later to hopefully add on. I’d bet by 1-2pm we’re gonna be raking and probably some damn good snow growth will commence. Good flakes here already.
