  1. I have been down in PA visiting family the past few days and had a laugh this afternoon when a local met said, "Winds will be VERY strong on Sunday night. Expect 15 to 30 mph winds." I must have gotten accustomed to living in the Great Lakes this past decade...because that is merely a breeze!
  2. Even if we get several inches of snow it won't look like it, as it will blown 3 counties away.
  3. Lol...the long range is riddled with cutters...even on the New GFS. Absolutely no end to the pattern we have been stuck in. The flow is so extremely progressive we can't get anything to stall out and start forming a new pattern. My call is whatever we get off the lakes Monday and Tuesday will not be impressive due to the strong winds shearing things out. Plus, best moisture will probably be blown to Herkimer county.
  4. We will get missed to the north or south. This flipping pattern ALL winter... still waiting on the blockbuster LES event everybody promised...
  5. I grew up in Lancaster...so I know the drill. This winter has been FAR from spectacular on the Tug...
  6. Hey, all. I am at my parents house in Danville this week, so I will be around to join you. Looking forward to being the eyes and ears for this area of the Susquehanna Valley.
  7. Drove down to my parents house in PA last night to bring some boxes to their basement. Really not much snow on the ground once we got out of Oswego county. Hit some nice snow showers between Cicero and Mattydale. Was a bit surprised at how little the Binghamton area has. Once you get out of the valley there the snow increased. Scranton had more than them.
  8. I told you guys last week...This is the pattern we have been in. Locked in since November.
  9. 4 inches of a beautiful, fluffy snowfall here. The thing I love about late winter snows is you can get some nice looking dendrites.
  10. Snowing very nicely here on the Tug. I would say it is in the heavy snow category. No advisories for up here, but that is ok. We tend to do better then. Lol
  11. Beautiful morning. Looks like we had some rime ice form overnight.
  12. I definitely hope you get a good event tomorrow night though. Enjoy!
  13. Snow retention is good here. Haven't seen a two to three foot event yet.
  14. Lol...this winter has found every way to screw us over, wolfie.
  15. I just had to share a side note...I just shared on FB about my work situation, and the outpouring of offers to help and kindness from the friends we have made here in this short time...wow....this is such a special place. Offers to buy gas, food, and tools for us...and for us to stay in their homes... Just wow. I don't want to leave!
  16. The Canadian. Keeping with the pattern. It is either some front end snow and then we flip to slop, or it will cut far NW and bring on warm temps and rain..
  17. No wonder why it is so busy this weekend up here...snow will be ruined AGAIN by the end of the week with another cutter...and then another....What an irritating winter.
  18. Fluffy big snowflakes coming down this morning. Pretty outside...
  19. Haha...seriously! In Michigan, the storms continuously kept missing me to the south...Now they have been missing me a county to the north!
  20. Some years South Redfield gets more. Not usually 100+ more...but from seasonal maps it can be 50 to 75 inches more.
  21. It is like there is just limited moisture coming off Lake Ontario this winter. Every event has been weak sauce compared to what it is predicted to be. Even tonight I am doubtful we get the 3 to 5 inches. I don't know how to explain it. It is like something holding the lake snow back from coming down heavy this winter. Maybe it is all the strong winds and shear? I look outside and it is just light piddly crap. My location averages 300 inches a winter...supposedly.
