  1. Right, the trend north/closer has been for several runs which is generally a bad sign. Tomorrow is kind of the make or break day.
  2. See if we can reserve trends a bit tonight. I’ll stay interested through 12z tomorrow.
  3. Watch the primary still somehow end up over Chicago.
  4. I’d sign on the dotted line now if I could. I always get worried about elevation this time of year plus possible poor rates on an easterly fetch. The more latitude the better so you’re in a little better shape than I am. Let’s hope this works out as a treat to end a rough snow season.
  5. At this point, unless we can trend a more dynamic system a little more south, I am rooting for plain rain here, rather than an inch or two of glop.
  6. Correct, Brattleboro sits in between some big hills so they definitely get shadowed. I think Bennington, Keene and N Adams are even worse though. I’ll have to go back and check but I believe Greenfield 50 year average is 58” a season, so slightly more than Bratt.
  7. Wow, Greenfield and Brattleboro have almost identical winter averages. I guess I shouldn’t be that surprised since it’s only about 20 miles away.
  8. That's an ugly stretch of Marches right there.
  9. It’s coming, just need to wait a few more days to see where the white vs wet is.
  10. It looks like a big coastal storm is in the cards. Obviously a long way to go, dialing in Wintery outcomes for parts of SNE. Easter Sunday will be my make or break day, to figure out if this has a chance, of being a special spring storm for New England.
  11. We watch for now but certainly seems like there is potential for a juggernaut. Who is white and who is wet is very much unresolved. Whatever happens, we want this to be a beast of low pressure to give folks in SNE a chance at one last accumulating snow
  12. We will revisit Sunday night after all of the Easter ham is gone.
  13. Then maybe follow up with a system that brings 2-3” of rain and DP’s in the 50’s? Really get that spring freshet going.
  14. As far as conspiracy theories go with the Baltimore bridge, it would be much easier to compromise local onboard navigators and crew than it would be to f’k with gps or other satellite coms. My older cousin was 25 years in the merchant Marines 70’s-90’s. He said he was on big ships that only had a crew of 20 to 25 people. If you want to hack a ship just hack its crew. They’re all working for the money so they would probably be pretty easy to buy off. anyway, I think it was just a bad accident.
  15. It's been raining in W Mass since last Memorial Day.
  16. I was talking to one of my son's teachers today who moved here from San Diego. She said it feels like it's been raining for two years.
