    Insanity! Lots of cloud to ground branches down everywhere. I had to pull into a parking lot on the way home to let the bulk of it pass.

    That little Cell that is almost right on top of Greenfield looked potent but it’s kind of meh so far.

    It’s probably going to get broken up a bit in the big hills west of here so I’m not expecting severe in Greenfield.

    It's weird because we usually have plenty of deer flies but I've hardly seen any this year and almost no mosquitos in Greenfield but friends say tons of them down towards Northhampton and Easthampton.

    5 minute shower here, I always love it when you can see sun and blue sky but it’s raining.

    Sun finally came out here. 89/73 How much does the lack of rain in certain areas affect localized dewpoints? When a humid air mass blankets the area will places that have seen rain in the past few days end up with higher DP’s or is it negligible and mostly based on the air mass in place?

    I did the lawn yesterday with a gas push mower. It took me like 30 minutes to cool down afterwards.

    I will say the relative lack of rain has been great for keeping the mosquitos down. My neighborhood has been mostly mosquito and deer fly free the past 2 weeks. Could be the healthy bat population helping with that. I also have not seen a tick in weeks.

    Yeah, unless you are at the water or have a pool it's not a lot of fun. I enjoy hanging outside on the warm evenings though.

    Depending on how this week shakes out we should see the abnormally dry areas expand quite a bit on the next update. My area is already in the yellow but not noticeable yet with the vegetation etc. Local rivers are low though.

    Fantastic pics from both of you. I love summer storm cloud pictures and this season I have not had many opportunities.

    I like the literal interpretation acid version better.

    Better hope it rains mid-week because long range looks dry.

    I’m not sure you would be walking around if it was Achilles. Partial tear of the gastro would do it but I’m not sure that wouldn’t account for the pop you felt. Either way, sorry to hear. Good luck and go see the orthopedist.
