  1. Greene, RI. Didn't realize Rhode Island got this rural. Just E of Cucumber Hill.
  2. Enjoying an epic Labor Day weekend grilling and chilling with friends on the rural RI/CT border. Not far from Ginx old stomping grounds.
  3. Yeah, I'm in the small, tight, Green River Valley so I radiate very well and have amazing snow retention but I don't have the elevation to cash in. If we were to stay in this area, MPM's old neighborhood up in Shelburne had the elevation and some decent retention and delightfully cool summer temps. However, I think the snow "cash in" zones are probably a bit further East in Shutesbury and Petersham where you can be well over 1000' and still get the coastal deforms. Savoy is pretty awesome as is the area of Heath I had a property offered to me but they still don't make the cut sometimes for many of the major coastals. Yes, of course Savoy has the crazy 2000'+ elevation to be a winter wonderland but that West Quabbin high elevation territory is gold! However, it is also in the middle of nowhere relatively speaking for those who don't work from home and actually need to travel and have kids that enjoy seeing friends.
  4. What's good for Florida may be hell for the Carolina's.
  5. Which 0z are already out? Paid sites I assume?
  6. Canadian High ftw? Although many weenies would be disappointed a full ots miss would be awesome. Partial landfall, slow crawler up the coast would not be so good but better than direct hit of course.
  7. Bennington = snow hole N Adams = snow hole Keene = snow hole Springfield = snow hole oh' this list could go on and on.
  8. 78/63 here and a little too dewey for my comfort level. NNE really has been on the dry side of the humidity line all summer long.
  9. I have a friend selling an incredible chunk of land up in Heath at 1600' but I just don't have the resources to pull it off, even if I asked my pops for help.
  10. Don't move to S VT, if you drew a triangle from Pittsfield MA to Stratton and over to the Monadnocks it has been, relatively speaking, wrt other parts of NE, a snow desert the past 10-15 years. When we moved to Greenfield in 2007 I was so excited to be close to the N Berkshires and ski areas like Mt Snow and Stratton. Let's just say my expectations have been tempered considerably. I don't really care if it snows imby as long as I can drive an hour to fresh tracks but those days have been a bit more limited than I would have imagined.
  11. Uh-huh, just let me know when you think the interior thumps are making a comeback. TIA.
  12. I agree, come winter I will make a thread about all of the snow holes in NE and NY. There are a lot of them!
  13. I pulled a whopping .30" so take what you can get!
  14. Is Franklin county going to get missed again? Multiple towns with water restrictions now.
  15. Bone dry here, smaller rivers and streams are down to a trickle relative to normal.
  16. Yeah, 14-15" here but power was back in 24 hours. We had days on end of people coming from all over to buy gas and other supplies in Greenfield because everything S of here was crippled.
  17. 11 years old, took her out of a kill shelter when she was six months old so it's all good. Just happy we did not have to do that long final drive to the vet this morning.
  18. Cool, beautiful summer morning. Just had my oldest dog pass peacefully in my arms this morning so a bit of a sad, sunny Saturday.
  19. In a former life when I was teaching at the acupuncture college we were having great success in the student clinic with migraines and cluster headaches
  20. Not in W MA. I may have to fire up a drought thread.
  21. Been dry af in NW MA, everything missing to the N & S, hopefully we make that deficit back in DJF.
  22. It totally did, I went from Greenfield to Cambridge and back today and I saw very little sun at all. Destabilization denied.
  23. Man, it looked great on the radar and visually coming in and then just went poof.
