Better get some rain out of this heat
You would think but rain has missed this area any which way it can the past month.
I'd say we will hopefully average that out this winter but more likely this dry regime is making up for the 30"+ we got between 7/15 - 10/15 of 2018.

I'll pass on getting my damage via flooding.
Why, you don't like massive infrastructure damage in your house?

I was working up at the Heath Fair tonight (2000') and we had a nice line roll through around 7:30pm. Not much in the way of cloud to ground but heavy rain and good gusts. It was really cool being up at that elevation and watching the rotation in the clouds right overhead. Fun stuff!

Doggy doo obsession for some is quite odd to say the least.
Nothing beats the smell of sun baked dog poop in the morning!

Wow, surprised at that. Almost at 4" about 20 miles to your SSE.
Franklin county has had a shield over it all summer.

Less then 1/2" on the month.
.60" here, we dry.

Nice August day, got 2-3 minutes of light rain and then cloudy with a hint of muggy but feels like summer.

Aerial spraying here overnight for EEE threat.
Mmmm, breathe deep!
It's been all over the news in Falmouth this week but no spraying yet.

Some family members are driving through Billerica right now and just texted me "heavy rain with some flashes of lightning".

Farmer friend in Greenfield messaged me and said only .25" there so far today? How is that even possible?

Just a sensor for a cheap thermometer so I can get some semblance of what's up with my backyard. Too bad none of the cheap ones only report humidity and not dew points--I hate doing the math.
Years ago I had either a Lacrosse or Acu-rite that had DP and was only about $60-$70

Must be great beach weather and water on the Upper Cape. I need to get down to Old Silver or Chapoquoit before those waters get turned over.
That's exactly where I will be!

I’m not sure you’re actually allergic vs getting so much venom that anyone would have had that reaction. In my wife’s case last summer, she immediately took Benadryl which quelled any further reaction. That said, keep the epi pen.
Good point. I had not considered the venom overload factor. As I said, I felt it surging up into my lymph glands, especially groin. Ice cold shower water gave little relief to the burning sensation.

Fwiw the Amherst coop had July as the 7th hottest on record going back to 1893. 1.7 degrees off the record from 1955.
Yeah, it's been warm for sure but I think maybe the dry factor has kept me from being bothered as much by it. Lot's of upper 80's but not too many 90's here.

I guess S of the Pike has had the torch this year. Honestly, it has felt like a warm, dry, slightly above normal summer here. Perhaps the lack of humidity has me unimpressed? I am pretty mank sensitive and really have not had too use the A/C that much. Electric bill running way short of last summer.

We are missing all of the precipitation this summer complete opposite of last summer. I'll take it as long as we can get the QPF in the winter...
