77/51 at 5pm... I mean come on this has been an amazing month of perfectly boring but beautiful weather.
78/63 here and a little too dewey for my comfort level. NNE really has been on the dry side of the humidity line all summer long.

Savoy has been calling your name for a number of years it seems...even if they are in your Bermuda snow triangle
I have a friend selling an incredible chunk of land up in Heath at 1600' but I just don't have the resources to pull it off, even if I asked my pops for help.

You know I can take sne big events and wipe the floor with Albany in terms of single storm totals. Albany certainly snows more and holds onto it but big storms to me are more exciting I guess. I may lose it in 3 days but I love the concept of 18+ and BOS has had a ridiculous number of those over the past 20 years. Still seriously considering a move to VT soon
Don't move to S VT, if you drew a triangle from Pittsfield MA to Stratton and over to the Monadnocks it has been, relatively speaking, wrt other parts of NE, a snow desert the past 10-15 years.
When we moved to Greenfield in 2007 I was so excited to be close to the N Berkshires and ski areas like Mt Snow and Stratton. Let's just say my expectations have been tempered considerably. I don't really care if it snows imby as long as I can drive an hour to fresh tracks but those days have been a bit more limited than I would have imagined.

I know some scary encounters with those that have Lyme Disease and are still battling it. I understand it's not as deadly, but it does have far reaching effects if not treated fairly promptly. If I am out, I throw on bug spray. And there are companies who use products that aren't made by Chemical Ali's relatives, that you can spray around the yard and it does the job. My cousin in Bridgewater near the Taunton River does it. He never has an issue, and the mosquitoes there will gnaw your arm off and fly it back to their nests. LOL. I'll find out the name and what they put down. It does cost money, but it works. I'm with Dendrite and amarshal....just not sure having these planes dropping drizzle drops of brain cancer are the best thing.

Ahh the interior storms. Man that's going to be tough when they come back. Given my difficulties managing meteorological emotions, I'd have to take a break from this place. You'd think getting older would make you wiser. It's like I have an inner Kevin in me, only I know what I am talking about. Lets hope for 02-03 for everyone.
Uh-huh, just let me know when you think the interior thumps are making a comeback. TIA.

Yes but the geography is a robber. You’d go crazy there after living in Stowe.
I agree, come winter I will make a thread about all of the snow holes in NE and NY. There are a lot of them!

Is Franklin county going to get missed again? Multiple towns with water restrictions now.
-
Bone dry here, smaller rivers and streams are down to a trickle relative to normal.

Very sorry about the loss of your doggie.
11 years old, took her out of a kill shelter when she was six months old so it's all good. Just happy we did not have to do that long final drive to the vet this morning.

Cool, beautiful summer morning.
Just had my oldest dog pass peacefully in my arms this morning so a bit of a sad, sunny Saturday.

Tomorrow's version of the 60-day will probably include some significant color changes.
Not in W MA. I may have to fire up a drought thread.

It totally did, I went from Greenfield to Cambridge and back today and I saw very little sun at all. Destabilization denied.

Lol, I just watched from an open field and on radar that line die as it moved over the E Slope of the Berkshires. Some -RA here with a few rumbles even though the radar was lit red and orange 15mi to the W at 7:00pm.

Just hit Athol on Rt 2, trying to beat that line in E NY back to Greenfield so I don't have to drive through it. Bright sunshine right now though.

Some reports of big branches down in Methuen, but I saw nothing of the sort.
You must be shocked that severe weather did not work out in E MA.
