Wow, just f’ing brutal 34° rain now. Can’t get home from work for another hour and at that point there will be no way to clear the rain infused slush which will surely freeze.
-
50/50 pingers and flakes now.

Over to rain and fine grained sleet. 0.25” snow. Meh
?? Ripping snow here ahead of the sleet line.
Breaking the 1” line is a small victory! Lol

-SN. 30F.
looks like the sleet line is into the southern Berkshires. Hopefully we can pound a little more snow before it gets here. -

All surfaces covered. Hope to avoid a flip to rain
We got close to .75” here but despite what the radar shows it is completely shut off now.
at least it looks like winter. The next batch of precipitation will probably be sleet or rain here.

Big hole around Albany, just -SN small flakes here now. Too bad because it was actually pretty good snow growth for the past 45 minutes.
Be lucky to grab 1" here me thinks.

@CoastalWx @ORH_wxman i find it surprising the PD storm of 2003 is still the biggest in Boston. Has this ever been challenged by other storms? (Been so many in recent years) And is that 27.6 legit compared to surrounding areas.
I was in Cambridge and did not get close to that.

SN 30F small flakes but coming down pretty good. .25"
Radar pretty meager SW of here, looks like it only lasts an hour or two?

-SN in Greenfield just started 20 minutes ago.

They were hosting an alpine touring race this weekend. Following on Instagram but I believe the guy who won ended up skiing & skinning for 33+ hours. Good mountain.
Yes, it was quite impressive!

We’re they running the summit double? I love that little mountain. Had a pretty epic powder day their MLK day 2009. Boot to knee deep on top of no base. Summit is surprisingly steep.
Yup! Old school lift. I got to the top at 3:50 and the seasoned ski patrol guy up top said “ok, this is your last run have fun!”
I got back to the base lift at 3:59 jumped on and winked at him when I got back off again up top.- 1

We (You and I) are actually close to seeing a couple of sloppy inches on Tuesday. I am thinking 100% rain but a couple of ticks south...
Winter theme says few ticks S on models next 24hrs and we have yet another snow to slop. Lalala lock it.

Actually decent snow cover up in N Conway area. 12”+ on the hill in Glen. (Iron Mt)

Wachusett Mountain ski area closed March 19th that year. 70-80s in March. I had 45" of snow for the season but 25" of that fell in October
The ultimate One Eyed Pig
We will see what March brings but imo this has been better than 2011-12 out here.

I just left North Coway. Its below normal for sure, but they have maybe 8-12" around the outlets. So it atleast looks like winter. Theres a pretty deep pack up toward Jackson
Great, good to know! I’m not worried about the ski conditions just hoping to do some sledding with the kiddos.

One would think we would be able to get at least one of these to work out favorably this winter, Its been a string of bad luck one after another, Very frustrating.
Going up to N Conway this weekend and 2 weeks ago I thought for sure they would have a good base by now. Nope.
Greenfield looks like it has as much snow on the ground as North Conway.

Weird, drizzle flipped back to snow.

how much snow did the area receive last week?
2 cancels and 2 delays here. They have been fairly high impact storms despite only 10” total from the 3 systems.
