  1. Any big dog this year will have some weenies sacrificed at the alter and isn't happening in a fast compressed flow. I think we wait until mid-month for a MECS. Not discounting this weekend but high end will be 6"-8".
  2. Minor accumulations 2.5”-3” around here but as @Typhoon Tip alluded to, somewhat of a high impact event wrt road conditions etc. Compacted snow, freezing drizzle, temps in the teens. it actually turned out that canceling school was a good idea because roads are still not in great shape.
  3. The 18° drizzle is a nice touch. Everything coated.
  4. It’s actually not sleet here just very fine snow particles.
  5. Even the main roads in Greenfield are in pretty bad shape right now. All of that pre-salting did nothing at 16°.
  6. The next 10 days can easily end up fairly mediocre for SNE. I hope we don’t end up saying congrats mid Atlantic and then get a rainer.
  7. My wife says there’s about 2.5” on the driveway at home, a little over 2” in downtown Greenfield.
  8. I imagine the radar will backfill a bit or is this a two hour storm and done?
  9. I'm surprised the CRV got 14-18" I thought it was a more E MA affair. We lived in Cambridge at the time. I was in 4th grade and had no school for a week.
  10. So many variables but 20" between now and mid-month is definitely doable.
  11. You are still new to WNE. You will come to love classic SWFEs. They bring winter gratification where latitude matters over longitude and elevation. Flurries quickly to -SN to a few hours of SN/SN+ then an hour or two of light glaze. Instant winter.
  12. 7F here. May get some virga hallucinations but this will wall in and it won't matter how much roads were pre-treated.
  13. The NW part of the RT 2 corridor has done better than many in SNE this year. I think we may continue that trend tomorrow so I'm leaning 3-4" in Greenfield. I'm hoping most of SNE can manage at least 2". All during daylight so fun to watch.
  14. Well, weather-wise it hasn't been the winter I wanted, but it has not been terrible. Otherwise, family is good and other than being a little cash poor, I can't complain. Plus free beer.
  15. We haven't had many snow days so good excuse to give students and teachers a "cold and flu break".
  16. Up to 4.5” in N Conway. I will have to rely on my coworker to let me know what Greenfield got tonight.
  17. I mean, had we opted for skiing instead of sledding and a hike, we certainly would have been riding that lift today.
  18. Interesting few weeks coming at least. As @40/70 Benchmark has often said, “I’ll take my chances with precipitation type.”
  19. Latitude will be more important than longitude. Rt 2 dividing line incoming.
