  1. Welcome. Where in Somerville are you?
  2. I was worried August would be dry after 14" in July but got lucky and pulled off a solid .50" in a downpour about an hour ago.
  3. If there is a bad cold or flu going around, it’s going to make the rounds and will inevitably freak a lot of people out, due to all the Delta talk in the media.
  4. It’s not like September can’t be hot and humid either.
  5. A friend of ours was pretty sick and he tested negative and then tested positive a few days later, he was actually already starting to feel much better at that point though.
  6. Already rained twice here this afternoon.
  7. So they are just figuring this all out now and it gets dropped as an internal CDC memo that was leaked to the media? lol
  8. Congrats. I’m just under 15” now.
  9. So timid thunderstorm but power went out.
  10. I am so done with this shit. At this point I hope we get a bone dry November, with daytime temperatures in the upper 20's.
  11. Pouring, now over 2" for the week. 14"+ in July, yea!
  12. August is not going to be a good month for the market. Just a hunch.
  13. RAM ranks up there with some of the best Beatles records imho.
  14. I’ll check when I get home but I think I’m over 14 inches for July.
  15. I know it’s silly but it’s just hard to let go of this feeling that all of this excess moisture will balance itself as bone dry in the snowy season.
  16. I have absolutely had it with the rain. Between today and Tuesday we have probably picked up close to another inch.
  17. Too many people as far as I’m concerned.
  18. CNN, FOX and MSNBC are corporate controlled trash.
  19. It has been really fascinating to go through the past 18 months in Franklin Co. in comparison to what other people I know have experienced. Most people, for better or for worse, followed the masking and social distancing suggestions. Sure having business closures sucked, however , there has been very little panic, about Sars-Cov2 here because it just was never that prevalent. I have several nurse and nurse practitioner friends, that work at the Franklin Co hospital (Baystate Franklin) and Covid never took hold of the county, in a meaningful way.
  20. GDP well below estimates but DJIA is up 200 points. Seems logical.
  21. C’mon, Just make a day of it and hit honest weight, brick and feather, People’s pint and TreeHouse. I’m sure you’ll be fine for the ride home.
  22. They are having a lot of problems with the town so have had some issues with sporadic hours. Lots of NIMBY pushback due to traffic concerns. Honestly, I can see why, it’s a one road in, one road out situation. Come to TreeHouse Deerfield, there is hardly ever a line! I was talking to one of the workers who was telling me that management was a little underwhelmed by the turnout at this location. I think that will change once they have a full brewery and taproom open and it’s not just pick up.
  23. I have several vaxed friends who got it just to avoid hassles, not necessarily for the good of society. One of them is a lawyer in NH and she is just licking her chops, getting ready for clients who are going to legally oppose any vax mandates.
  24. Wow, he went downhill quick. I know he wasn't on the current tour but they said he was "recovering". They put out some great tunes over the years.
