  1. We moved from Cambridge to Greenfield in 2007. Tickets here were $5 if you got one and parking meters were 25 cents per hour. Some are still 12 minutes for a nickel! The only thing I miss about Cambridge/Boston is the restaurants and the absurdly good music scene.
  2. Welp, raining again. 66/64 -RA .15" today.
  3. I only turn on the AC during absolutely oppressive heat and humidity. Better for your immune system to build tolerances to heat and cold.
  4. If this pattern continued any local grains or hops would be compromised but that’s why most breweries don’t rely on local.
  5. Powder molds are going to become a real issue if we don’t get some sun soon.
  6. It's brutal and the fines are ridiculous. I remember getting a ticket in Boston back in 2003 or 2004 for overtime at a broken meter. When I confronted the attendant he said it was a one hour limit not two at a broken meter. WTF? How am I supposed to know that? I always keep a roll of quarters in our cars and I lost my temper and started feeding meters all the way down the street, for about a block, just to be a dick. He called the cops! Lol I came back out of the building I was working in that day because the attendant and the police were now standing at my car. One of the officers was an older veteran, probably in his 60's and he just laughed and told the parking attendant to go on his way. It turned out the officer and I had a mutual friend from W Roxbury and we conversed for a few minutes about how bad the Boston parking attendants are. At the time he told me that parking enforcement was semi-privatized? I never looked into that. Anyway, he told me had seen undercover cops and BFD vehicles get tickets. Again, WTF? Who would give an emergency responder a ticket? SMH. It's a racket and they are in arms with a few select towing companies.
  7. Off and on sheet drizzle since 2pm. This just plain sucks. It's bad enough that we had to start breaking out bourbon barrel aged stouts at the brewery this afternoon.
  8. I know lots of commercial farmers in the valley, ground crops are starting to become a major concern.
  9. This. It's starts to affect many people's moods. It also limits how to entertain kids. I am incredibly lucky to have family on Cape Cod but can you imagine spending hundreds per day to not have a single nice beach day? Camping in this stuff sucks because your stuff never really dries out.
  10. Maybe I'll head to Falmouth next week, at least it looks like less rain there...
  11. Nice tropical downpour right now.
  12. The only real media these days are small independent investigative journalists who are out there with their cameras and notebooks.
  13. Yeah, brutal pattern. Not everybody will get rain every day but the chances are constantly there.
  14. I’m almost double that. 2.2” finally tapering off but it has been pouring for hours.
  15. Yeah, should be some good rates moving into your hood very soon.
  16. It's been raining here all night. Radar almost reminds me of what we see with winter SWFE.
  17. Picked up another .25” past two hours. Everything is so saturated right now and the woods are jungle like with lush undergrowth and swarming, flying insects. Not really my type of summer but still trying to enjoy it. We pretty much had the beach at Lake Wyola to ourselves today.
  18. Don’t forget the occasional showers. -RA just started here.
  19. GFS looks humid and boring. I'm longing for a sunny, dry week of low to mid 80's.
  20. It’s been sunny here since 10 AM. Great day, high of 76.
  21. Suns out here, partly cloudy 70°
  22. Happy to have missed any t-storms tonight. Nice humid evening and time to dry out a bit tomorrow.
  23. So you are saying it felt like Christmas Eve?
