  1. There was one in Dec 2007 that dropped over a foot here, I would have to think about if there are any others. usually 6-10” is the norm from these.
  2. I mean, we have seen these produce a foot in our respective areas but all the ingredients need to come together for that. I was also a little surprised how aggressive the on air Mets were and the NWS. In the end the pike region was the winner, no surprise this year though. no complaints, still a decent storm and the snow has some meat to it. Still only gets me to about 24” for the year.
  3. This system flew through the area. The NWS 8-12” zone will be more like a 5-9” zone. The QPF was probably there but the snow growth was a limiting factor. Little over 6” here.
  4. lol, just after I posted you were getting the jackpot.
  5. Yeah, somebody in the mass pike corridor is going to jackpot. You guys are 20 mi N of the mix line and getting rewarded for it.
  6. Had a lull but back to heavy snow temporarily. I think I’m actually going to break 6” for the first time in about a year.
  7. Yeah, would’ve been nice to have gotten into the better snow growth but we take what we can get.
  8. He is sick of us whiny commoners, so I guess he only participates in Uber Alles text chats with select folks.
  9. Doesn’t really matter how much I get, it’s already my biggest snowfall of the year.
  10. Albany radar pretty shredded, hopefully fills in a bit.
  11. I still expect accumulating snow to be done for western areas by noon.
  12. I think jackpot zone could end up being somewhere along the Mass Pike.
  13. You are getting much better snow growth down there. Not quite sand here but very dense. It’s going to be like shoveling flour.
  14. 5” of very dense snow. Back edge is flying East through Albany, not sure it’s going to fill back in much?
  15. Heavy snow now. Much better growth. 3.5” on the car. Cold storm. 22/16
  16. 2.5” moderate snow 22/15 arctic sand, not fluffy.
  17. Radar over W Virginia and SW PA looks great, should be a classic SWFE. I am psyched for some stormin'! #heavysnow
  18. Most likely storm panic for people who have weekend plans.
  19. 22/10 here, off a low, last hour, of 20/9. Definitely cold and dry.
  20. I think many have understood, for a while, that a full on cyber war was coming at some point. Live and die by the fragility of your infrastructures. The "Anonymous' hacker group has been all over the social media platforms tonight, claiming a massive attack on Russian servers. Whether it's true or not it's still the future. Keep some cash on hand too, sucks when atm's go down.
  21. One trend to watch is if the mesos cut back QPF right up through go time.
