    After a relatively mild winter this will catch the homeless population off guard. Not good.

    My p/c forecast said low of 4F Saturday night. If we hit 50 Sunday that will be impressive turnaround.

    Relatively cold overnight temperatures this week with -10’s Friday night and single digits Saturday night, should set up epic pond skating for Sunday!

    I think people need to psychologically prepare themselves for a cool crappy spring. I also think there will be more snow chances for all SNE.

    I would imagine this type of cold shot is not great for lawns that don’t have snow cover over them?

    We had about two hours of sun this morning but have been cloudy and stuck in the 30s all afternoon.

    Holy smokes, came down to HadleyAmherst to hit the big box stores and there is no snow cover. Greenfield is only 18 miles north and there’s full 3-4” snow cover.

    That type of cold w/o snow cover will kill your lawn.

    To be fair, I grew up in Southern and Central New England and geese are here year round. They are just the tougher geese, from further North, this time of year.

    That’s what makes me think the cold won’t be as severe as currently modeled.

    I’ve seen some pretty cold sustained temperatures in Western Massachusetts. if it looks like a -20F is really happening, it’s not too hard to prepare for it.
