  1. Yeah, about 2" here in the yard, less on the pavement because we started above freezing. I'd call it an overperformer but BOX did say 1-2" here. I just didn't believe it would happen below 800'.
  2. Well, first inch of the season is in the books. Still moderate snow here. 32F
  3. Half inch or so in Greenfield now. 33F Moderate snow
  4. Raining for the second time today even though there was no rain in the forecast…
  5. November has been chilly. I've already burned more wood than last year at this time. I think Wednesday system gives some accumulating to NNE/CNE. Elevations of Berks and N Worcester Co. probably get 1-2" of 8:1 accumulations and lower elevations N of RT2 get some measurable slop. Good excuse to at least change the oil and test the snow blower tomorrow.
  6. Shemp actually predates Curly. He left the show to pursue other interests and then came back after Curly had a stroke. They were all super talented and really interesting guys. Except for maybe Joe.
  7. Fine with me. Either way, when you live in SNE, It’s much better to not expect any snow until after mid December, that way you don’t set yourself up for disappointment.
  8. I don’t think we get interior region wide measurable snow until early December. I know that’s not a bold call, just what I see right now. I do think interior sees 10”+ before Santa comes.
  9. I like W NE for some late Nov and early Dec snows. I think we kick things off right heading into Christmas despite some thaws.
  10. Second coating of the season here! Great night for it because we did an evening hike with the Boy Scouts
  11. The rest of the month could very well end up BN temps and BN precipitation.
  12. Woodstove simmering and living room 70° actually only the third fire of the season.
  13. Took my last outdoor shower today then shut down and drained back the plumbing. I’ll welcome more warm weather but it’s cold tonight.
  14. It is sold at most garden centers, somebody must like it…
  15. It is a pollinator friendly, nitrogen fixing legume and part of a healthy ecosystem.
  16. Today is the anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald going down. Gordon Lightfoot’s tribute to it is still one of the best weather songs I know. “The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down Of the big lake they called Gitche Gumee The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead When the skies of November turn gloomy With a load of iron ore twenty-six thousand tons more Than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty That good ship and true was a bone to be chewed When the gales of November came early…”
  17. Wimpy but safe. Your area should definitely see some wintery precip.
  18. Federal and state authorities have no interest in confirmation of a breeding population because it would require additional expenditures for tracking and protection.
  19. You want single digits in December with no snow cover to knock their numbers down.
  20. I want to know what the guy said to him to elicit such a response.
