Did you get that sound like someone driving a nail into a sheet of tin with the strike? That's what happened when lightning hit my house a few years back. Loud metallic pop, followed by earth shattering boom and chunks of siding blowing off.
There were several trees down blocking the road to the summit of East Rock this weekend. I'm assuming rain was to blame. Either that or we had a ninja-nado.
Thank God this batch of rain is staying north. I spent my whole Friday dealing with leaks and basement flooding from Elsa all over our portfolio. Don't need any more of that, thank you very much.
Wind still westerly enough to keep us cool on Fishers, but just a few degrees more NW and we bake later. Thankfully the water is about 70. Might just plunk a chair and umbrella down in the sandbar and pop a few cold ones.
