  1. Everything covered in Easley, except roads, they're just wet. Looks BEAUTIFUl!
  2. Don't worry, a lot of you got like a foot last year!
  3. Snow shower now, waiting on the heavier stuff!
  4. Radar looks beautiful, we'll see what happens!
  5. Hope that happens here, Pickens county airport went up 7 degrees the past , now 34. If this could have come in 2 hours earlier!
  6. Temp 27 now, rising, but hopefully clouds are thick enough to keep me below freezing.
  7. Temp 26, might have enough clouds to inhibit heating. Amazing race! Come on baby!
  8. You may he right but I don't live in any of those places. I want snow here!
  9. I think this will be our big problem. 25 here but CLEAR. Temps can easily rise into the mid 30s or higher in just an hour or so of sun. Needed clouds already in with precip falling now.
  10. Yeah, don't get your hopes up Mack; we underperform waaay more than we overperfom. Hope to see some flakes and mabe we'll get a surprise dusting like before. The little line in N Bama has dissapated again and doesn't want to get it's act together. The main peice may be this bit of rain blossoming back near Starkville MS. If so, that's pretty far West and may have trouble getting here early enough anyway. I can't stay up or i'd be interested to watch the radars over the next two hours.
  11. Looks like there is a tiny strip breaking out between Florence and Huntsville but I think this needs to start growing pretty quick if we're going to have anything to work with. You're talking about gainsville in just 10 hours. Always good to see your input Grit!
  12. I think I remember that. I think that one made it though the mtns of Oconee to about Walhalla and then dried up, never making farther east. I got blanked on that one.
  13. I'm not too good with the short range models, but the HRRR has been consistant in showing the precip sharply turning to rain just as it hits the GA/SC state line and I am quite concerned about this. I really think the later arrival to SC is going to play a large role; plus, don't forget, that we often see a lee drying and warming coming from the higher terrain of NEGA. The WRF is much more bullish on upstate snow but I think that is a bias of that one. The HRRR, seems to be better with subtle temp changes, at least for the upstate. I seem to remember it correctly being the debbie downer before, but maybe I'm getting them mixed up. Someone was commenting about FOX21 going with cold rain for the upstate but that is probably the safest bet. There's certainly bust potential either way. It could easily surprise with a burst of snow tomorrow, but climo says it's probably mostly rain. Yeah; death, taxes, and NC getting more than the upstate. I don't care what the set up is, if the upstate gets anything, WNC will aways, ALWAYS get more.
  14. That should be our baby. It actually flared up about an hour and a half ago but then disappated quickly. Keep an eye to see what happens going forward but we want that to really blossom in the next couple of hours.
  15. Verbatim this heaviest line is heading right up 85 into SC, and I mean exact. If the orient of precip is ENE and the BL temps are 32 or less somone could get a nice thump!
  16. You're in the upstate now, maybe you'll even get a car topper!
  17. That looks like it's all the way down to 1-20, though I'd be surprised if BL temps weren't a big issue. I'm still worried about that here. I'm just not used to seeing an H there like that, it feels like it should be in VA. I guess this is an ULL overrunning scenario?
  18. You're up all night till the sun You're up all night to get some You're up all night for good fun You're up all night to get lucky
  19. Might as well bring the discusion from the main thread here. The maps look very pretty and all but I remain very skeptical for the upstate. While we probably see snow fall (which is better than nothing) I think any accumulation is going to be hard to come by. It's really too bad this doesn't get going about 6 hours earlier; NGA by tonight and the upstate by about 4-5am. I love watching snow fall as much as the next guy, but watching it melt as soon as it hits the ground is almost more painful than never seeing it fall to begin with. I (and the kids) would really love to have at least a couple inches to play in, but unless this really overperforms, it's probably one of those teaser type things. If I was in NGA and highest elevations of the upstate I would be very excited for the prospect though. Oconee may do the best (for a change) since the cold profile is in place (rather than having to wait on CAA or a wedge) and moiture gets there the earliest. Outside of that we'll see. I keep dreaming that one day we'll get the total profile cold with a moisture feed like yesterday, but alas...
  20. Per radar, looks like it might be snowing some at Ceaser's Head right now. Verbatim this shows snow all the way down to Abbeville and Greenwood; they don't get much these days. Just need this piece of energy to slow down once it gets here and form a trailing gulf low, then snow all night and into Sunday! And of course need BL temps to plummet to the upper 20s.
  21. Just looks like it's coming through at the absolute worst time of day for the upstate. Needs to be early morning or something.
  22. Wow, that's a lot of rain. 6.55 for me, now over 16 already for the year.
  23. Consider yourself lucky Mack. Tornadoes are just nasty, and 3 inches of rain is plenty. I came just an eyelash of getting a flooded finished basement, way too close for comfort.
