Just looking at the gfs soundings Thursday and there is definitely an inversion around 925. Even if we fully mix below the inversion it'll be tough to crack much above 60F with 6-8c 925s. It does wash out eventually, but then we're fighting overnight timing and rain.

I just looked back and I pulled back to back 66F and 75F days in Feb 2018. March worked out well that year...

Picked up 1" here this morning. I had to run to Salem and there was atleast 1.5" close to border.

I could see atleast one angry post when MHT hits 55F 6+ hours before Tilton.

It's a shame the guy who took it over basically stopped reporting snow this year. I think he was reporting low last year too, if you don't report every day up there it's almost useless. John was great.

Yeah even the hrrr down here it's just above the sfc. It was a 32F rain for most of it from MHT to ORH. Fitting for this season.

18z nam was speeding up too. Precip into CT by mid-morning

It would be some snow there, but it also keeps most of the qpf pinned closer to the coast. It does hit ME hard though.

Alot of qpf on the euro, but a torch at 925. Pretty ugly

3/4" less qpf than the nam and 6z euro there. Pretty remarkable differences, not that it matters for snow. Might as well root for stein.

Nam is really disjointed, never consolidates like the hrrr. Pretty meh until Maine

12z hrrr is gonna be interesting outside 495, atleast for a while

18z euro is chicken approved. Definitely a tenuous setup, but maybe a narrow can grab a decent event.

Not as prolific as 12z, but still warning snows in NE MA/SE NH and into ME. Hopefully the 18z gfs shows a little more life.
