The article is nearly 5 years old but the problem with the crows has only gotten worse since the time it was written. Now there are flocks of geese battling the crows. At times it is like watching a "dogfight" in the sky.

There are more geese in the Methuen area than I can ever recall. They are battling the crows for territory....it's like 2 gangs having a turf war.
There are flocks of geese in the Methuen area. Grass in my yard is still growing. The other day my wife and I were driving to a basketball tournament, and along the way we commented on how it looks more like early april.
I actually prefer going to the beach during the fall and winter. Far less crowded. I know people who golf during the winter...well provided there isn't snow on the ground and that has become more common.
What about hiking and biking? Both are great in the winter.
