    Exactly!!!....it's been happening with more and more frequency ....Instead of seeing a map with forecasted temps I soon expect to see a map of the forecast area with the word "blowtorch" across the map

    They did that in 1973 and it was awful. The sun didn't rise till close to 8:15. On cloudy days it remained somewhat dark till later in the morning. Rainy days were the worse, it would stay dark till around noon. Year round DST was also in place for several years during WW2....it wasn't well received.

    Torrential rain in Methuen.

    Westside of Methuen and east Dracut was hit hard by the storm that hit the area around 430. Very large trees are down in the area Several are down across wires. Just spotted 1 tree that was snapped about 20- 25 feet above the ground. Also reports of 1/2 inch hail in the area. I was told the hail whitened the ground.
