  1. That's some crazy coverage though. Houston, New Orleans, Mobile, nearly Panama City. Hell, entire states.
  2. Looks juicy and fun, but 6+ days out...not letting myself get hyped at all, until I see a similar run <72 hours out.
  3. I'm supposed to be flying out of RDU to Puerto Rico on the 20th....sorry guys, praying for warm and sunny at least on that day :x
  4. Shots! Shots! Shots! Er, I mean...maps! Maps! Maps! Pls.
  5. Yeah, 1-2" seems accurate for the Triangle. Not sure I've actually seen any 3" reports. I just went for a walk and there's less than an inch in all of my neighborhood near North Hills. It's already melting, too. Flurries falling now.
  6. Got about 0.85" in North Hills, Raleigh. Not bad! Better than 0" lol
  7. 0.75" in North Hills area of Raleigh at 1930
  8. Lots of reports from Ral in this thread of heavy snow and folks saying almost an inch and I'm just like ????? Am I in literally the worst spot? It's barely snowing here in the heart of Raleigh and certainly not sticking to pavement, although it is sticking to cars, roofs and grass it is nowhere near an inch. Not in my neighborhood lol. I'll take my measuring tape out in 30 mins after dinner is going. My garbage cans have been out all day so the tops should roughly reflect how much snow has accumulated on cold surfaces.
  9. Are you??? I'm off Wake Forest @ Navaho. Maaaaaaaaybe 0.25-0.50" here. Maybe. Very light snow for the past hour. Although, I think now I would categorize as "light snow" rather than "very light snow"
  10. What part? I'd barely call it a dusting in North Hills. Flurries falling for the past 45 mins
  11. OMG, it's FINALLY snowing moderately! I may be deep amidst unwalkable RTP's corporate fortresses and parking lots, but I'm going for a nice walk
  12. All rain in Durham near 54 @ 55. No snow has been seen yet.
  13. No precip here so far, but obs thread has reports of flurries/sleet in Garner near Clayton...
  14. 44/28 in Raleigh, overcast. No precip has fallen so far
  15. FWIW my car said it was 46 degrees when I was arriving at work half an hour ago. The temp gauge outside the building had 43 degrees. Weather.gov has us at 41 and TWC has us at 42. Low to mid 40s seems to be where we're at.
  16. Didnt even know severe was a threat today but damn that was a good storm in Raleigh. Wake Forest Rd ITB
  17. So is the fact that it's even going to hit NC based on it's location a few days ago, so....
  18. Yeah no doubt, I'm just really worried since the vacation is already paid for and everything. I'm hoping our neighborhood won't be completely flooded or trees blocking exits or anything...not sure if it will get that bad of course, but I guess the potential is there and this is so super stressful. The timing for events going on in my personal life is almost as bad as it gets. Ugh.
  19. So we are going to need to leave for a pre-planned Disney vacation on the 19th or 20th at the latest. Do you think roads will be passable even if we have to take hours worth of detours? Obviously it's impossible to say what roads might be out and where, but generally speaking...we are behind Duke Raleigh hospital in Raleigh. Would have planned on 440-40-95. I know during Matthew I95 got flooded and closed for awhile (don't remember how long). I have only lived in this neighborhood for 3 months, so I don't know how it behaves in flood situations. There are a LOT of trees in the neighborhood, though. This is a very important trip, for 6 months I have been planning on proposing to my girlfriend and surprising her with her parents flying in from Puerto Rico.
  20. guess that depends on how far youre talkin. r/s line is right se of clayton, and mby to dt Clayton is 25 miles. lemme just stop bitchin cause indeed its getting better and apparently ruffling feathers of those e of me
  21. Meh. I know we have some snow imby so i shouldnt be complaining, but it can be irritating when 2 miles in every direction there's double the amount and sub30 temps. ILM is not really ever a snow magnet though, so meh again. You'd be disappointed too.
  22. i knew temps would be a problem. it was 35 for hours in central wake, finally down to 33 or 34...big fat flakes, sticking on cars and grass, starting to finally stick a little on parking lots idk about the roads. I have done 1 winter each in south Durham, central Carrboro, west Raleigh, Sanford and midtown Raleigh. So far midtown Raleigh is the worst. Jan 6-7 the snow hole was over mby for hours and today its above freezing for hours. smh. Lease ends in June. Time to relocate to Morrisville or something! Temps were no issue when i was at work in RTP/morrisville. Snow hole wasnt there either. I'm trying not to complain too much cause there is about 1.5", but still.
