  1. Sun is breaking thru the clouds at times and temp has hit 32! 32.0/26.8 at 11:00 am.
  2. Strange night. Started off clear with temps dropping like a rock, bottomed out in mid teens before 10 pm and stayed there for a couple hours. Then clouds rolled in, and wind swung around to W/SW as temps started to rise. Currently 27.1/20.2 at 8 am and cloudy. No new snowfall recorded after 9 straight days of at least a T.
  3. LOL, sunset/dusk and already down to 30.8/18.6 and what little that melted has refroze. High will be that 35.8.
  4. LOL, well that should shatter some records.
  5. Up to 35.8/19.2 here, some actual melting starting with drips off the roof.
  6. 15.1 for a low after a 30.3 high yesterday. We MAY break the freezing mark this afternoon.
  7. Yep, been flurrying to snow showers here last hour or so, that usually means Canaan and Snowshoe are getting pounded.
  8. I like your thinking lol.
  9. Just back in from clean-up. I'll gladly take this (powdery snow 17-1 ratio) over the wet heavy mess of the other day. I took the leafblower and had everything cleaned up in under an hour. I spent two days cleaning up the previous, which turned into concrete once the sun set that night.
  10. So that would be a reverse slant-stick?
  11. 11/22: 0.2 01/04: 0.4 01/06: 7.2 01/07: 0.2 01/11: 2.2 Total: 10.2
  12. 2.2 snow total on 0.13 liquid, almost 17 to 1 ratio! 6.0 even on the 2nd snowboard, 1.40 SWE. Yard runs 5.5-6.25.
  13. 1.8 inches at 11 pm here, still snowing. 1.3 inches fell in about 45 minutes
  14. Hope you get under a band, parachutes last 30-40 minutes here, pouring!! 22.7/19.9
  15. So after 2.5 hours after 1st flakes I have officially reached..... 0.3 inch. Yes, a whopping 0.3. Flakes are flying, just really, really small.
  16. Flakes started here about 7 pm. NOT much, but at least the atmosphere is saturated enough for flakes to make it to the ground lol. Not a very pretty looking radar either. 24.4/14.9
  17. Yep, about 9 down this way. That was a weird game.
  18. Cool, used to fish Moomaw 15-20 years ago.
  19. Camera watching, appears snow is on a line from just north of Blacksburg to just south of Salem and down to just east of Martinsville at 4:30 pm.
  20. Low, and partially iced over. Lake is still down 15 foot so they are releasing minimum.
  21. Well, if you lived in the Blacksburg /Roanoke Lynchburg corridor you'd sing a slightly different tune. Yes, the EC has been 'low on snow' the last three or so years, they've been EXCEPTIONALLY low. LYN 0.5 22/23 and 2.7 23/24. ROA 0.4 22/23 and 4.1 23/24, BKB 1.3 22/23 and 3.5 23/24.
  22. So the sun broke thru the clouds for 20-30 minutes about an hour ago. We were stuck 22/23 degrees, pushed up to 25.5 with the sun, but already back down to 24.6/11.1 now at 4 pm with the return of the clouds. Awaiting the snow.
  23. Nice tractor Bob! I felt the same way about our driveway, shoveled the rest out on wednesday morning (that is semi-flat), was afraid the car would 'walk/slide' across it instead of drive thru or break it. 80% of my driveway looks like the steepness of your pic.
  24. Same here, 19.6/10.1 at noon. Waiting to see how far north the decent (heavier) snows get this evening and overnight. How 'solid' is your snow? I can stand on ours without breaking through from the sleet and freezing drizzle at the end on Monday.
  25. Soared all the way up to 14.7/8.1 at 10:30 under cloudy skies at 10:30.
