  2. ^^^This^^^, the 1/2 to 2 inches of rain falling in 30 minutes IS moisture, just 75-90% runs right off into gutters, curbs and creeks! That said, I'd take those 30 minutes after past week, where it thunders for an hour each afternoon then the deck barely gets wet.........
  3. I'll be there Saturday, can't wait!!
  4. UGH! Stuff can be fixed, but it is a bummer. Long as everyone is safe!!
  5. Yeah, ya'll got blanked the rest of the winter basically. I had a few more snows and finished right at 35" for the year, about 8 inches above normal.
  6. Same here. Getting ready for work calling for 3-5, they (NWS) upped it on forecast to 6-10 as I left the house at 7 am. Got home that night (after an hour + drive that normally is 10 minutes) after 8 pm to 20.5"!
  7. Topped out at 91.5 degrees here yesterday, 2nd warmest day of the year and first +90 since 7/21. Currently 66.0/64.8. Had about an hour of thunder between 4-5 pm, managed a huge 0.02 in gauge lol.
  8. Nothing in the rain bucket, but boy was it nice this am to wake to 61.1/58.6........
  9. I've had 6 so far this month if you want to use the old fashioned stuff.
  10. After 3 mornings in the 50's, back to nasty warm and humid conditions.....69.8/68.9 currently here.
  11. 53.0 for a low after a 82.6 high with lower humidity yesterday, awesome!
  12. 'Twas NOT I.......but I be ready for the first flakes!
  13. Just bullseyed with a shower in last 30 minutes, picked up 0.18.

  15. DCA: +1.2 NYC: +1.2 BOS: +1.5 ORD: -0.1 ATL: +0.7 IAH: +1.1 DEN: +0.4 PHX: +1.1 SEA: +1.9
  16. LOL, I like your thinking. Sure, let us have another early Jan 96 redo!
  17. BIL is 99% sure he had a tornado go thru about 30-40 minutes ago. Has a 100-150 wide path shearing off trees and damaging roofs! Hail about a quarter too. He is about 20 miles east of Roanoke near a community called Goodview. EDIT-he got HOME at that time, storm was before 6 pm.
  18. Warning just ended here for me. A gust to 31 and rain was all I got, but bigger and deepest part of storm looked just south of me on radar
  19. Wow! That thing crossed 220 THREE times and only two injuries? Amazing and lots of lucky folks, that is a fairly busy road.
  20. Just dumped the rain gauge for the 7 am reading to CoCoRaHS. 2.62 inches for the day, that will set a new daily rainfall record for the date beating 2015's 1.84 inches.
  21. Over 1.25 so far today here, just had a mean looking storm roll overhead. LOTS of low hanging spinning clouds and winds gusted to 41 mph.
