  1. lmao thanks. I forgot to update my link to the summer one
  2. It's been pouring HARD right now. Gotten more rain in this small amount of time than in the last 3 months
  3. Toasty night tonight. 77 at midnight. DP isn't the worst thankfully
  4. I think he means that we'll have random times where we get the smoke funneled down towards us like we did with this last storm system. These fires have been burning for weeks now but it was only with the right setup that we experienced the smoke. So I'm guessing when we get another storm system in that area similar to what we have currently we'll experience the smoke again. I doubt we'll see it all summer but once every few weeks seems possible.
  5. Air quality hit over 207 here now and it keeps getting worse. So my dad got mulch for his yard and I'm assuming that he's going to be shoveling a huge amount of it later today and I'm wondering if that's not a good idea for him to do given how conditions are right now. I did tell him the other day about the air quality but I don't think neither of us thought it'd get this bad. Do any of you think it's a good idea for him to do that? He's pretty healthy and in great shape but he's in his mid 60's so I'm just a bit worried about him being out there shoveling that for hours. Knowing him he'll probably just do it regardless lol I walked out to see how bad it got and almost instantly I started coughing. It felt like I took a huge plume of smoke directly into my lungs. It's fucking awful out
  6. It's even worse at 2 am. I went out and visibility dropped dramatically as if there was a thick fog. I took a few breaths of air as I walked outside looking down the street and my lungs felt like they were burning slightly. Also I think why it's worse now is because the smoke has been progressively moving farther south as time moves on so I think it's just coincidence that it got bad as night came.
  7. DP is 36 here right now. I can't remember ever seeing it this low in June
  8. Well that explains why the air quality is doubly as bad just north of here. It's 170 here in Enola and I've never ever seen the air quality anywhere this high. Ever. Even during the worst air quality alerts it's only ever gotten around 80 or 90 here. Absolutely insane. I hope that stuff doesn't come farther south
  9. Yeah probably a good idea. I've got a few laying around still and these filters you can place inside so that'd be perfect I think. I'm glad I didn't throw them away lol
  10. Yeah the rain and wind were really bad here just now. It didn't last for very long. Hoping the rain didn't blow into your windows
  11. I knew the drought was bad but didn't realize May was that bad for a few other places
  12. I hear sirens going off down the highway so it must have been bad there
  13. I can't believe I missed that storm to my east. It missed me by just a thread otherwise I'd probably have had hail here too lol
  14. Saw on the radar the color intensity is the highest it can possibly go. Storm must be pounding over there
  15. Missed the storms to my east yesterday and today missed them all to my west lol
  16. With how dry it is I can definitely see that contributing to the summer being a few degrees warmer some days than what would have originally been forecast as well. Since dryness like that likes to invite more heat
  17. It's weird barely seeing it thunderstorm in May. I miss the storms Also I think I might be one of the youngest ones here lmao. I just turned 33
  18. Year without a summer is super interesting. Apparently it would sometimes be hot and then suddenly get super cold randomly. "Rapid, dramatic temperature swings were common, with temperatures sometimes reverting from normal or above-normal summer temperatures as high as 95 °F (35 °C) to near-freezing within hours." It would also be very wet and damp feeling but chilly at the same time which is interesting
  19. It's nice having a May that's more similar to normal than a brutally hot one. The next 1-2 weeks look pretty nice temp wise
  20. Same here. Still not a drop with the sun shining through the clouds
  21. Was watching this live last night. Absolutely jaw dropping wedge tornado. I'm only just now looking at this high quality footage of it since the stream wasn't super clear. Crazy.
  22. Can't believe I'm saying this but I'm looking forward to some actually normal temperatures for once. That cold spell kinda sucked
