  1. Maybe it's just me, but the storms in SC OK already have that "look". More storms firing in NW/NC TX.

Meanwhile, farther east, the outflow boundary in NE TX and NW LA continues moving southward. It will be interesting to see if it slows down/stalls/moves back northward and if any storms fire along it and take advantage of the enhanced helicity. There is more upper level support in this area, and CAPE is high to its south.

Parents near Longview in a closet right now, TOR warning and they heard the low rumble sound.

That area of rotation dissipated as it moved northeast, and another area of decent rotation formed without a tornado warning near Diana, TX. I called my friend to let them know, but there was no tornado warning. He said it was quite windy and they had lost power, so I told them to hang tight for 10 minutes or so in their closet. No other incident that I'm aware of and it looks like the rotation has weakened.

Cumulus field definitely developing in eastern Texas now.

Not quite sure what you're referring to.

HRRR has really backed off of convective development in eastern Texas *early this evening, which I would expect given the persistent cloud cover, lower cape, and higher CIN.

*Edited... still has the line of storms sweeping through late.

Tor warning out by sulfur springs. I'm under I think my third severe tstorm warning of the night? Haven't seen anything yet though

Numerous reports of large hail and wind in East Texas from those storms.

At my house, I woke up sometime after 2 am to the tornado sirens sounding in Longview. I checked the radar and saw it was weak and to my north (I wasn't in the warning polygon) so after the line reached my house without much ooomph, I went back to bed.
