I'm a little late posting this report. I was at Ski Sundown on Wednesday 2/14 for my third lesson. It was the best skiing conditions of the year with 4" of new snow. It was cold and windy. Making things a bit uncomfortable at times. Ski Sundown isn't making snow anymore. So it was probably my last chance to ski packed powder. I took 5 runs off the summit. Including the last run down a freshly groomed Canyon. Unfortunately while skiing down the run. The Sno Cart left ski dug into the soft snow and released, causing me to tip over. I'm okay, but that scared me a bit. And I quit for the night.

Yeah I noticed that. The snow today didn't strick to pavement very well, even with the temperatures at 28F . The roughly 1" of snow from this morning is gone.

Not a flake here so far.

Winter Storm Warning dropped here. Now have a Winter Weather Advisory. From a forecast of 7-11" to 2-4". What a forecast dud.

The plan if the weather is good. Is to visit my sister in law. She lives in Kirkland, just south of Montreal. Her house is just inside the eclipse path of totality.

I skied at Ski Sundown last night for my adaptive skiing lesson. At first I tried a mono ski. But I couldn't balance myself with my arms and kept falling over. So we switched over to there brand new Rossignol Snow Cart. This cart let's me lye down and control the ski's with poles. I can snowplow, turn and brake to control my speed. Unfortunately I can't use it solo as the base is spring loaded for boarding a chairlift. The chairlift has to be stopped for loading. We took 3 Runs down from the summit. Tom's Treat, Canyon and Nor'Easter. It felt good to ski these trails again. I got some speed on these trails. There a nice group of people. Very friendly and Patient. My next lesson is on February 7th.

It snowed here fairly decently between 11 and midnight. Small flake size. I think there's about 1/2" Currently it's overcast and 34F.

Better than I thought. About 1" this morning. Just flurries and light snow right now. I was expecting just rain.

Light snow continues here. It's also a bit breezy. 33F

Light snow and 32F. Maybe 1/4" so far. Roads are snow covered.

Snow with some bigger flakes. My walkway is wet because it's salted.

But small flakes compared with this morning.

Flipped back to snow and it's accumulating on pavement. 33F

Rain, sleet, snow mix here and 34F.

Ski Sundown:

Heavy snow continues. Looks like about 1". 32F.

32F with heavy snow.

Biggest flake size of the year. Reminds me of a March snowfall. Not late January.

Rain flipped to snow a short while ago and it's coming down really heavy. Instantly accumulating. 33F
