  1. Logistics wise, Boston may be too difficult for a handicapped person. I'll probably pass on this one. Had fun last Saturday.
  2. Just hope to avoid freezing rain as much as possible. Extremely dangerous for me being handicapped. Already worried about getting the mail this Winter.
  3. With the warm Fall we have are SST's above normal for late November around here? Probably more problematic for coastal folks than average.
  4. Sugarloaf open today with 7 trails, 2 lifts, 36 acres of terrain and 2,500' of vertical drop.
  5. I went trout fishing with my niece about two weeks ago on the Lackawanna River. My sister lives in Milford, Pennsylvania. Didn't catch anything, but had fun. This river was completely dead 100 years ago with acid mine drainage and other industrial pollution. Now it's crystal clear and stocked twice a year. I invited her and her husband to come to Connecticut and we can fish in the Farmington River. Despite being handicapped, I can cast sitting down.
  6. I actually liked this location, easy to get too and good food. I'm not a big fan of driving at night, but it's only 65 miles away and mostly highway. Doing it again here is fine with me. Parking was on a dead end street and safe for a handicapped person.
  7. Sugarloaf is actually opening tomorrow with skiing from the summit on Timberline and Tote Road Extension, with Tote Road to the base. Tons of vertical and two separate lift served areas. Nice to see them take advantage of Timberlines high elevation, roughly similar to Killington/Rime area.
  8. It's tough in cities because space is at a premium. The walking/exercise is good for me. And thankfully a deserted street to park on. I meant to ask beforehand, but I was coming regardless.
  9. Thanks for setting this up, nice place I just wish it had parking for handicapped people, but that's tough in cities. Nice to get out of the house. Thanks about my Dad.
  10. My brief stint of standing without holding on to anything for support.
  11. Sunday River is actually open TTB today, no downloading required. So they beat Killington in that department.
  12. Sunday River is open with 4 trails on Locke Mountain with downloading. Today is season pass and ticket blocks access only. Sugarloaf opening on Monday weather permitting with TTB skiing on Tote Road and Kings Landing. Lift tickets will be $55 purchased online.
  13. As of right now, it's only snowmaking on the upper mountain down to mid-station. Rain and warmth coming tomorrow and Monday.
  14. See everyone tomorrow, I'll be easy to spot walking with my hiking poles.
  15. That was my experience eating dinner in Springfield last week. But Springfield ended the mask mandate on 11/1.
  16. I didn't mean to cause trouble. I just thought I would check and mention the mask mandate. I know about this because I came across it grocery shopping in Agawam last month. I wasn't wearing a mask or carrying one. I was approached by the manager and asked to put one on or leave the store. It's difficult for me to walk back to my car, so I left.
  17. I agree with you, I visited my doctor on Monday and you can't enter the building without wearing a mask at all times regardless of vaccination status. What's the point of being vaccinated? And the spotty mask compliance which varies from town/county is idiotic.
  18. Enforcement seems to be on the county/town level and in Massachusetts. Here in Connecticut I don't know of any such measures. I do see alot of people wearing masks where I live, mostly older folks.
  19. Those trees in the picture are Sugar Maples. Actually today it's about 95% bare in town.
