    65 is too chilly for my liking. We keep it at 68. It’s rarely been kicking on but the radiators were warm to touch during my 4am quick bathroom run.

    That’s silly. Look at the pattern at d10 which is silly to begin with but verbatim it’s a significant cold shot on the way. EPS says trick or treat in winter coats.

    I walked from my house to the chestnut hill legal sea foods to meet a friend for lunch who I haven’t seen in years. Noticing some good color now along the way and I dare say peak on the banks of the Charles abutting the restaurant.

    I kind of missed the transition from summer to fall being away so long in warm summer like environs. It’s a bit of a shock but I’m ok with it. Just had to change daily outfit to longs, t-shirt, sweater over which should be good for the next 6 months.

    I've had the heat on for a week-turned it on last Monday for my wife on the way out the door for a trip. Definitely needed overnight and even during the day with overcast. I don't understand the logic of waiting until you're totally miserable.....

    Flipped on the heat as I depart for New Orleans this morning. Mainly for the benefit of my wife although my exercise room was cold an hour ago!

    That’s 0.75 miles from my house and I’ll actually be home Sunday.

    If you insist on a fashion statement yes. I always ditch them before mid October unless it’s way above normal which appears unlikely.

    Shorts today and tomorrow in Sicily. Longs for the long day of flying home Friday and no more shorts until spring or a trip warm in winter. Autumnal

    Ninos often bring chilly Octobers. I’m guessing this will be no exception when we read the tale of the tape in a month. Sad to be missing the October torch this week-hot days in October tend to be fun and not uncomfortable. We return home Friday after 2.5 weeks away.

    Rome, Naples, Amalfi coast and Pompeii, Sicily. Home for a weekend and then to New Orleans for a conference. Then home and hunker down for winter.

    Minimal event here in metro west Boston. The local hype was embarrassing. I take my neighbor shopping once a week and he had someone else do it at a time I couldn’t because of the hurricane. I TTTH but he went ahead anyway. Sun trying to break through the clouds now.
