    Currently sitting at 81/61 just North of Fredericksburg, interesting to see how it plays out but the NAM3 would make for a loud evening. It has a the feel of thunderstorms later on today, time will tell........

    Flurries in Spotsylvania County where I work, currently 33, color me very skeptical today...... Edit: Now it's legitimate Light Snow, visibility under 1.5 miles......

    Think I saw some lightning flashes show up on radar west of CHO....wild day ETA: trees are really getting icy in my part of Stafford, power and flickered a few times and some close by areas have lost power

    Ice is building on trees and shrubs down this way (NW of FXBG) not so much on roads/sidewalks. Temp has actually fallen back to 30.8 on weather station. Was up at 32.0

    That would imply Sleet fest 2019 is well under way. To me, that may be the trickiest call, if/when we go from sleet to freezing rain or just sleet to rain. Probably depends on when 850 zero line comes North

    I’m guessing that the 4-5” strip from Hanover County up thru the Northern Neck is a little coastal enhancement on 18z Euro. Like that it still shows the 2-4” around EZF.......and it did expand a little on North side too

    Hasn't the UKMET been South at 48 hours out most of this winter? I mean in the 2/12-13 storm, it had EZF getting like 3-5" of snow at 48 hours and EZF got nothing close, same with a late January storm too, not saying that's the case here, just musing a bit I guess.......

    FWIW.....Icon appears to be Snow to Ice next Wednesday and fairly cold (mid/upper 20s) at the surface......

    Doesn't skunk all of us, but temps look to be freezing at best, not sure what that will do to accumulation, but adding to seasonal is nice I guess

    It wasn't a cutte, it is just recently "found" but I know where the feeling is coming from. Even minor shifts like the 0z to 12z Euro show take this part of the subforum out of it, part of the deal living to the south of DC but still, it's not exactly exciting, but there's always ice on Sunday or what not, so who knows

    How do we look snow wise between the two from CHO toward EZF? The bump North on the Euro with the Saturday deal took us from 4-5" to like 1", I've seen this before.......
