You mean the tens of thousands of people living in illegal apartments who for decades have ignored warning about why theyre unsafe, ignoring the ability to put smoke/co alarms or dont replace ones that go bad because “the alarm is annoying when we burn dinner”, ignored the hundreds of deaths over the years in illegal apts/dwellings, would suddenly listen to a siren? not sure im gonna buy that one.

Only my kids didnt bail. Which meant i had to sleep in the damn tent too. Which means i cant walk today.

Temps were shockingly uniform overnight. How boring.

News channels with real mets, social media, etc were all beating the damage drums for at least a day. To say otherwise is incorrect.

Kids “camping” in the backyard this weekend. Supposed to be tnite but the ground is still so awful i might make them wait till sunday night. The grass is finally drying out but having a bunch of kids laying in a tent all night? Dunno.

We pulled a guy out of his car on a road that in 07 woulda been probably 2-3’ higher than his roof. One of the few success stories around here with stream and culvert fixes.

Forgot about april of 07. That was the breaking point for a lot of the streams and culverts around here, that finally convinced local people that floyd wasnt a once in a lifetime flooding event. The spots that flooded in floyd and 03/07 faired much better this time.

Im only comparing the outcomes. The difference in the weather weeks before doesnt alter their rankings in the amount of damage done lol

Worst since Floyd around here easily. Only thing that came close was heavy rains in 03.

Damn it got bad in a hurry. Flooding everywhere, numerous people trapped in cars throughout rockland.
