  1. Received 2" of snow before transitioning to all pingers. Temp has been locked in at 28 for several hours now.
  2. Sleet now mixing in with the snow. Several reports to my south of freezing rain already in CT
  3. 1.75", heaviest snow of the evening. 1-2"/hr rates. Mix is very close though. 28/28
  4. 1.25" with snow coming down at a good clip. 28/28
  5. Over a half inch on the ground. Officially the snowiest day since November 15th. 29/28. S, borderline S+
  6. Moderate snow, roads covered. 30 degrees
  7. Snow picking up a bit in intensity, decent snow growth. 31/26. Coating down.
  8. Agreed, I think we're in some trouble with icing in our neck of the woods. First winter in Bethany (away from the city Bridgeport & Hamden) and I don't have a generator.
  9. Agree. Thicknesses were lower. Mostly due to 850 level trending south between hours 24 and 30.
  10. Thank you, that answers my question. I'm 5 miles northwest of HVN.
  11. What are your thoughts on my area in Bethany, CT? I'm just SW of the 1.0" reading. I have a feeling I'm in a location primed for ZR with this storm... Which is not a good thing.
  12. Yes, really moving now huh? Spent weeks in phases 4 and 5, but less than 48 hours in phase 7 lmao
  13. Got a new trail cam for X-mas... went outside in the woods next to the house to install it and was lucky enough to have 4 ticks on me to pull off when I got back inside. One was crawling on my back... Happy winter
  14. Should be fun to watch this start to crank: https://earth.nullschool.net/#current/wind/surface/level/orthographic=284.25,38.56,3000/loc=-93.568,24.995 Yard is already a muddy mess and this area seems to be the unfortunate jack for precip with most of the models spitting out (3-4").
  15. Confluence is trending north and east on the last 4 run's of the NAM. That southern wave is an open propagating POS though..
  16. 7.25" final measurement. All sleet now. What an over performer and great way to start the season. Still 27F, hoping that temps come up a bit or tomorrow morning's commute is going to be a tough call for a delay or not..
  17. Heavy sleet snow mix now. 6.75". 27 degrees with a gusty wind.
  18. 5.75" and still snowing moderately. Still all snow. 26/26. Definitely a little cooler at the surface than anticipated at this point.
  19. 4.25" as of 6:30pm. 26/26 Just took me 2 hours to drive from Wallingford to Bethany, stranded cars everywhere, especially on the big hill going up route 63
  20. Incredible snow rates in Hamden right now. Has to be 2"/hr
  21. Temp has fallen below freezing finally. 31/31. Just getting into the heavy band moving in from W CT. Flake size improving dramatically.
