  1. 1.2" last hour, nice!. 3.7" new. 32/32. Upstream radar looking juicy and that SPC meso discussion has me like..
  2. Heavy snow with awesome snow growth. Under 35dbz and it's pounding.
  3. Exactly one inch in the last hour. 2.5" total. Steady at 32 degrees. Snow is heavy enough that evergreen branches are already bent to the ground.
  4. Underestimated the pasting... Walked outside and couldn't believe the trees were already sagging. That's with a little less than 2". Anyone think the snow dries a bit and I move from 32/32. We lose power all the time here in Bethany. Under 1"/hr rates now
  5. Moderate snow the last hour. 1.5" Steady at 32F. Roads covered.
  6. What a heavy wet snow. Sticking to everything. 32/32. 0.8" down. Snow intensity picking up, good snow growth.
  7. Surprised how quick we saturated. Visibility came down fast and flake size improved within the first 20 minutes. Steady light snow, already a coating. 35/27
  8. Snow has commenced. 37/26. We doing obs in this thread?
  9. Wiz, that's just about MBY... Yes please. Do you think surface temps will be 32 or is that likely overdone?
  10. Snow picking up in intensity once again. Most likely last moderate burst before going back to light and tapering off in a couple hours. Just broke 2" here. 28 degrees.
  11. Dylan, I think there's truth to this. However, we're always getting more data. Now that we analyze twice the number of Euro runs, there's a greater perception of change.
  12. 1.5" new. 28/27 Borderline steady light to moderate here.
  13. What time Will? Was really hoping to get above freezing. ZR for the past 5 hours is really starting to add up. At 29 degrees now. Trees are starting to creak now with every small movement of air.
  14. Here we go again.. just measured 0.25" ice accretion. -ZR. Bushes already bending over and sagging. 28 degrees and holding steady for the last several hours.
  15. Since switching to ZR after the 3.5" of sn/ip, I just measured exactly .125" of ice accretion. Temp holding steady at 28 degrees.
  16. After about 3.5" of sn and ip, we're now zr. Already a noticeable accretion on most surfaces. 28 degrees. We better get to 32 soon, I can't have a repeat from a few weeks ago.. I think I get above 32 by midnight, any thoughts?
  17. I'm all set with the ZR... Not sure how many more limbs we have around here to fall anyways. Hoping to get scalped.
  18. May not see a flake..36 and rain... and puddles....FFFFF this
  19. Had to have. It got too dangerous for me to go outside and measure. Surrounded by trees. Before the winds came, my wife and I jumped in the car and left and had to dodge downed trees everywhere until we got to route 67 in Seymour.
  20. Currently IC. At my parents house in Stratford, CT. Had to leave my house in Bethany as it was ground 0 and a complete disaster zone. Whole town still without power with temps below 0.
  21. Power out here in Bethany, CT. Solid amount of ZR here. Trees sagging and branches popping every few minutes . The site wouldnt allow me to upload the photo I took, but I have close to 1.5" icicles hanging from my shrubs and trees. Have several large limbs down. Does anyone think I'm able to spike to mid to upper 30s before the wind and cold air come in?
  22. After our two inches of snow, we've been recording ZR for the past 7 hours. I measured ice accretions a little over .25". Getting scary out there. 31/30.
  23. Sleet is now mixing with ZR. Moderate. 29/29
