Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 100 mph Path Length /statute/: 1.51 miles Path Width /maximum/: 150 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 07/02/2023 Start Time: 03:48 PM EDT Start Location: 1 ENE Hartleton / Union County / PA Start Lat/Lon: 40.9025 / -77.132 End Date: 07/02/2023 End Time: 03:56 PM EDT End Location: 3 NE Hartleton / Union County / PA End Lat/Lon: 40.9149 / -77.1091 Survey Summary: At 3:48 PM local time, a tornado touched down in Lewis Township (Union County). The initial tornado touched down just south of Millmont God`s Missionary Church and tracked ENE causing damage to a well-constructed chicken coop along with uplifting a majority of a barn`s roof and spreading it throughout a nearby field. Several large tree branches were broken off. Then the tornado shifted to a more northeasterly track across Route 45. The tornado tracked just west of a residence along Pleasant Grove Road, where many large limbs were observed to be down with a healthy cherry tree snapped before continuing to move northeast. Trees along the intersection of Kaiser Run Road and Windy Valley Lane were uprooted and snapped with a small outer building having damage lofted into a nearby field. The tornado dissipated slightly north of Kaiser Run Rd around 3:56 PM local time. We would like to thank Union County Emergency Management, along with local residents, for their help with this survey.

Some of the damage is only about 2 miles as the crow flies from me. Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 75 mph Path Length /statute/: 0.91 miles Path Width /maximum/: 50 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 07/02/2023 Start Time: 03:44 PM EDT Start Location: 1 ESE Liverpool / Dauphin County / PA Start Lat/Lon: 40.5597 / -76.9713 End Date: 07/02/2023 End Time: 03:46 PM EDT End Location: 1 N Millersburg / Dauphin County / PA End Lat/Lon: 40.5605 / -76.9541 Survey Summary: A brief EF-0 tornado occurred near Route 147 in Upper Paxton Township, Dauphin County. The National Weather Service Office in State College, PA conducted a storm survey of the area to investigate the damage. Trees were downed by the tornado, blocking the roadway at 3462 PA 147. The tornado damage was intermittent as it traveled east for about 1 mile, downing more trees as it crossed over Shippen Dam Rd. The survey also found a larger area of more sporadic, non-tornadic wind damage to the north of the tornado track, which extended nearly 20 miles from Seven Stars in Juniata County to Gratz in Dauphin County. This damage mostly consisted of downed trees and tree limbs, as well as downed powerlines on Specktown Road in Lykens Twp, Dauphin County. It was determined that this larger area of sporadic damage was associated with the forward flank downdraft of the same storm, which is an area of straight line winds within a supercell. We would like to thank Perry County and Dauphin County for their assistance with this survey.

It is wet at my place from all the rain from the last month 6.55 in of rain. Every time it rains now the water sits in the garden and a few winter springs are open again.

Since 10:30pm last night I have accumulated 2.10in of rain.

I wasn't sure. I'm sure Nws will be called to make an assessment. When I seen the roof being lifted up I thought maybe it was tornatic winds.

Picked up .52 rain from tornado warned storm no hail here but one hell of a lightning strike that was too close to the house. Hail was about a little over 2 miles from my place or less.

Yes all ok, they put vehicle under church pavilion. He was headed to work. He works in the burg for CRW. He said it was quarter size hail.

My son said there was big hail a half mile from Berrysburg, he lives there

1.48 in of rain overnight. Went to bed around 11:00pm last night and it just started raining. Was surprised by the number this morning. Went back and looked at the weatherstation data and between 10:30pm and 1:30am is when all the rain fell.

I wonder if severe thunderstorms will occur today and heavy rainfall too. No sun here as of now.

My yearly total stands at 17.01in of rain.

Hopefully we get some rain and not a deluge. 2 days ago my garden was actually too wet. It had dried out some now.
