  1. When I got up at 5am I looked at the sky and didn't see any stars. I thought the sky was overcast.
  2. From NWS- State College: Hazy sunshine to kick off a really nice stretch of mid-Spring #PAwx into late week! What's with the haze? Back trajectory shows source region of current airmass over CPA originated in northwest Canada where wildfires have been burning Model data confirms this showing a high concentration of vertically integrated smoke over CPA today. So this is why there will be hazy sunshine today and potentially set the stage for a high quality sunset this evening! 5/10/23|550AM
  3. I guess for optimal growing conditions 1 in a week is needed during the growing season. But most of the time that's not the case.
  4. I hope no frost, we put out 30 tomatoe plants in the garden Saturday.
  5. I remember the guy from the original Weather World saying we should have at least an inch of rain every week during the growing season.
  6. No rain to speak of here. We could use some rain again.
  7. 39.0 was my low this morning. Just seems to cold for this time of year. I want to plant some sweet corn, but I'm not to sure about it sprouting. The soil temp needs to be 50 or above to grow. I'm kind of hesitant on planting. But if we have a stretch of warmth coming up between today till the next 10 days then it could be plausible to plant.
  8. Voyager took the winter away from us, now he's robbing us of the warmth also.
  9. I guess it's a staple for the redneck community. YOLO!

  11. and its raining again here! was up early around 4am and there were a bunch of stars out at that time. I thought maybe I could get out and get some outside work done.
  12. 38 this morning, another miserable day on tap with clouds and showers and cold temps.
  13. You got to stay in contention for the most prestigious award at the end of the season. The coveted mowing trophy.
  14. Yes you are correct, my area was abnormally dry, but not now anymore.
  15. I don't think here where I'm at I'm in drought anymore for now. The "winter springs" are open everywhere here and flowing. The rain on Friday .43 plus yesterday's 2.87 did wonders.
  16. 2.87 rain yesterday. April was a relatively dry month till yesterdays soaker.
