    Classic storms I remember from the 2000s and 90s, when my friends who moved to NC from up north would say, "Why is the forecast a wintry mix here and not snow all the time?" To Ed Mathews when he came to our school.

    Nice to see we are still in the game plus some extended cold air ! Not sure why I am excited just to walk outside seeing my breath just that alone is nice!

    I hope this isn't the thing that seems to happen any time a NC,SC,GA are looking at snow and cold then it shifts west to give Dallas/Nashville/Austin/Memphis 2 weeks of snow and ice and the apps stop the piedmont from seeing anything but ZR for few hours and 33.1 degrees lol. Sorry just my trauma from last few winters cold blast that look good then shift way west lol

    Oh side note concerning how a few models are showing another strong hurricane next week which would be wild.

    Hurricane season is going to suck if we get a low shear environment.

    I think it might have more to do with the southeast ridge slowing down heavy cold air plus the Appalachians

    Yeah that's a question I had as well just seems like it's easier for Houston tx to get snow vs triad region

    Definitely will take the 1 inch of snow

    I'll take 2 inches and have it hang around for few days vs 7 to 8 and gone by the next day hope the trends continue!

    I know we are all talking about the snow and ice. But from what I recall Duke power saying something about not being to handle multiple days of really cold weather this year. Looks like from Texas to Georgia a few days of really cold air might have to buy some fire wood and batteries to prepare.
