  1. Went from all-day drizzle to moderate snow with the large flakes, temp down to 34, high 38
  2. Band rotating in toward the western shore, I am posted up by the radar/window, let's see.
  3. Off topic, just heard from my elderly dad who was diagnosed with flu + strep on Wed and has been miserable. It's been a little scary for me. This morning he crossed the "wanting coffee again" threshold and just now managed to eat something. I'm so glad. Now I can fully weenie out watching whatever this storm is unfold. I don't want to be that annoying sanctimonious person...snow is life, I'm a massive weenie...but it is also just snow.
  4. We're gonna have to repost this on every page btw now and sunset.
  5. I wouldn't either and yep it's been quite a nice run there.
  6. Huh idk then. I've seen multiple times people given the landscape tip reply thanks, that did it
  7. I hardly ever look at the forum on phone but people say turn your phone sideways to see locations.
  8. No, I just looked it up. It's not a euphemism, it's a phased approach. There's still a SOE.
  9. Breaks are good. Not saying that in a nasty way. They just are actually good for sanity. Tonight is a good time to get some rest now that I think of it. Arguably better prep for tomorrow than staring at models until your eyes spiral.
  10. 51 and partly sunny. Since I haven't updated on river ice in a while, there is still full ice coverage on the Bush River near my location as far as I can see. Melt is most definitely on ofc. According to the Nat'l Ice Center mid-Atlantic chart, the western shore tributaries north of Balt were 70-99% ice covered, with few small more melted spots - as of yesterday (chart still the latest).
  11. This could lead to an interesting "snow event snack haul" and I say go for it
  12. Hard core, tracking and posting from the hospital Hope you're discharged soon and no further issues.
  13. YES!!! Official text from airline is DEF persuasive. Good luck! We are all rooting for you.
  14. Too many wildcards but I do think we score something. I mostly like our northness and eastness. And oh - our proximity to an icy cold bay, for extra weenie hopes.
  15. Yep. Thanks to all the mets weighing in. Regulars and less-regulars. Good stuff in last few pages. Meaning realistic and useful good, now necessarily omg sn++++ imby good. Read 'em weenies.
  16. Haha. Idk but I tend to believe they really have been around, but under other names.
  17. Almost certainly. They can't resist mentioning every now and then that they've been on the weather boards a very long time. But no mention of previous usernames.
  18. Some of us are quietly following the evolution and quietly paying attention to the reasoning and the detailed posts. I think @LP08 identified some of this too, briefly. Your post was more detailed. Just saying - some of us do read more post less, but we see the posts and appreciate them.
  19. The terrible thing is it gets to the point where ya have to add "but it's wrong, so wrong" to everything to keep someone from quoting you and going "but you know it's wrong???" lmao. 100% true about that dumb insanity def.
  20. Correct, and nobody is. Everyone is now in a very mature and dignified and composed state about the GFS. Totally philosophical and zen-like. Probably won't see much reaction if and when it caves.
  21. I had to delete, unnecessarily HUGE image lol
  22. It's some tough competition.
